Almond Butter OMG Cookies...

Almond Butter OMG Cookies
OMG these are even better the next day cold from the fridge.

Ingredients:
1 cup raw almond butter (I made my own using 1 c of raw almonds in food processor)
1 egg
1/4 cup Nature's Hollow maple syrup

3 cups total mix-ins of choice - I used:
1 cup of raw sunflower seeds
1 cup of unsweetened coconut flakes
1 whole bar of Ghirardellis 86% chocolate cut up

1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 350.
Combine all ingredients until thoroughly blended.
Drop by tablespoons onto a greased or Silpat-lined or Parchment lined baking sheet.
Press down slightly with hand and bake for 12-15 minutes.

Makes 22 cookies - S/1 - C/7g  per cookie

I really like these. They taste nutty and not too sweet, but just sweet enough for me. If you like it sweeter you might want to add some more stevia. Taste the batter before baking.

ENJOY!!

In this batch below I used 3/4 c ea;
unsweetened coconut flakes, raw sunflower seeds, raw pepitas (pumpkin seeds) and 1 bar of the chocolate above - with 10 drops of cinnamon SweetLeaf Stevia.

To My Surprise...

Hello Everybody,

Yesterday I noticed that on Jorge's Facebook page there was a ton of nice and NASTY comments regarding his new 100. I think people just don't understand where he is coming from any more. He keeps changing what he says in his new book from what he said in his older books. I don't know - maybe he is learning different or better things. I just don't know.

So yesterday I posted this comment on MY Facebook wall which many of you might have already saw;

"This new 100 thing of Jorge's is getting out of control. I don't even know what to say. I learned from his Original BFC book how to eat healthy and better without cutting out everything. And lost over 90 lbs doing it and kept it off..
Yes I do eat carbs and grains and wheat too. I learned to eat at home and control what I put in my mouth. No processed junk anymore.
Just learn to eat HEALTHY - is all I have to say.....There - BLAH - got that out..."

I got tons of responses, even on twitter too. I guess I didn't realize that Jorge might see this post, but I don't think I said anything wrong...

So this morning I fixed my breakfast
Alpine Valley (my favorite bread now) 12 grain bread - toast with my homemade coconut butter with cinnamon and stevia in it (which I am in love with), eggs, avocado and berries.

I turned on my computer and what do I see?? But an email from Jorge himself. Yeah I know - I thought it was because he saw my post, he does follow me on twitter.

Well anyway he says " how am I - sorry for not keeping in touch and he wants me to try a copy of his new book early and tell him what I think".

So before we continue to crucify him - lets be nice and give him a chance. He says you can lose 18 lbs in 2 weeks which I DO NOT want to do - cause I will start to wither. LOL But I will try it for a week if I can and let you all know what I think. I don't think we can eat 25g of carbs a day for very long. We shall see.

Remember I told you my weight was up last week from stress, lack of sleep, or hormones - or all of it. So it was actually at 154.5 for 2 days in a row. So you can see why I kind of freaked out. So since that day I have been trying to be conscious of what I am eating and this morning I am back to 150.5 in less than a week.

And I am eating my healthy toast many mornings. I try to eat my carbs in the morning and TRY to have none or little with lunch - but you know how much of a sweet-freak I am, so it does get hard for me.

My lunch today;
I made some more of the cauliflower-tortillas from my last post with some tuna mixed with, mayo, tomato, bacon bit, feta cheese, jalapenos.
My snack today was a handful of almonds and hazelnuts. Yesterday my snack was some kale chips I made. I split it and ate half and saved half for hubby.

Don't know what I'm gonna have for dinner, hubby's home tonight. But last night this is what we both had; Yeah I know he had it too. Shocker!
brussel sprouts, broccoli, 3 slices of turkey bacon cooked well and crumbled up and a couple spoons of alfredo sauce. I know it doesn't look like much - but you know me - I had some rediwhip and 2 cookies I had made before for desert.

Well thanks for listening and have a great day...

Cauliflower and egg Tortillas

Cauliflower and egg Tortillas

I made these taco shells using Cauliflower and eggs, That's it - They were fairly easy and surprisingly good with all the fixens on top.

**Take a head of cauliflower, cut in half - put in a pot of cold water and bring to a boil for a few minutes - then drain all the water and let cool - shred (like rice) in food processor or by hand. Keep the rest in a tupperware container in the fridge.

Use 2 cups of shredded cauliflower and 2 eggs and salt and pepper to taste - mix together in bowl.

Make 6 round piles on parchment paper on a cookie sheet and bake at 375 for 10 minutes - then flip and cook for 5 more min.

Transfer to your grill to brown a bit - then cool on a wire rack - Done.
I make some sauted onion, green pepper, mushrooms, garlic and chicken with some braggs. Came out so good.

ENJOY!!

It's OK to be Different...

Hello Friends,

Today I would like to talk about our Families and Spouses.  Whether its a hubby like mine or a wifey. I have read so many comments from others trying to eat healthy of they don't know how they will get their spouse or kids to eat the same way.

Its been such a struggle for me to get him to eat sugar free and healthy like me. Actually at times it really hurts my feelings (like today) that most of the time he won't even taste my stuff. He just plain refuses. At least 80% of the stuff I make, he won't taste or touch. So most of my goodies, nut butters, pizzas, muffins and whatever I make I have to eat all by myself.

So that's why you see me eat toast with my homemade nut butters a bunch of times in a row. I have to eat it till its all gone then I make a different flavor. I make sweet treats and put some in the freezer and take them out 2 at a time.

I refuse to buy the sugar laden or processed foods anymore, so he has to get it himself if he wants it. I will not let him talk me into eating anything I know I shouldn't. Trust me - sometimes its hard for him to understand - but he just says OK.

My point to you is that no matter how others in your household are eating, you don't have to eat with them. I make hubby fend for himself a lot. Mostly because of his weird hours. Him being a Fireman he has a much different eating schedule then me. I always try to eat my dinner and be done by 7pm, but for him he wants to eat at 9pm sometimes.

Eating Healthy can sometimes be a lonely way of eating when you are the only one in the room doing it - but I am used to it by doing it for almost 3 & 1/2 years now. We can't force them to eat the same way as us. My taste buds are much different now than his or that of 3 & 1/2 years ago.

My point is:
It's OK to Be Different...
We can't always get them over to our side, but that doesn't mean we have to join them or that we love them any less because they won't be like us...

A couple of quick things;
I found this Buffalo Pizza sauce at Target yesterday. It tastes so Buffalo-ey good and only has 1g of sugar in 1/4c but high in sodium so not for every day.
So I made a zucchini-meat pizza for lunch yesterday and used that new sauce.
I made it just like my zucchini crust pizza but added in a can of chicken in the crust. then topped it with the buffalo sauce, tiny bit of mozzarella cheese and turkey pepperoni. YUM.

I made some Coconut butter yesterday and mixed it with some cinnamon and vanilla stevia and put it on one of  my toast this morning. So Good...

Be Strong Everyone and know that WE CAN do this!!

HomeMade Coconut Butter

HomeMade Coconut Butter

I just made some coconut butter. Andrea Lang posted something on Facebook the other day and I realized I hadn't made any for quite a while.

Homemade Coconut Butter tastes creamy and sweet and good. Inexpensive to make, about $3.50 a 8oz bag.
1 8oz bag of organic, unsweetened coconut flakes made about 1 and 1/2 cups.

Just put the whole bag in food processor using the metal blade and go for about 10 min - scraping the sides every few min. And that's it.

**this will not work with the lower reduced-fat coconut flakes - I learned that the hard way -LOL**

No need to refrigerate,  keep in a jar in the cupboard.
In the summer months it stays soft, but in the winter months after sitting for a while It will get a bit hard so just take out what you want to use and microwave for a few seconds.

Uses of Coconut Butter;

mix with some cinnamon and stevia for a sweeter taste.
on toast
top pancakes or french toast instead of syrup or Natures Hollow preserves
on our healthy minute muffins
frosting for healthy homemade cupcakes
drizzle on top of some berries for desert.
drizzle on top of homemade cookies

The imagination is endless...

Have a nice weekend...

Hiya Gals and maybe 1 guy - (how many guys read this anyway)?,

I saw the other day on facebook that someone said it snowed where they live. I am so sorry but have to say that I don't miss that stuff at all!! I grew up in Michigan and have lived over here in Southern California for like 33 years. Its supposed to be 80 and clear today here. Love it here.

I still have not been sleeping. I know one of you said to get my hormones checked. They last time I did they were fine and I still get my monthly visitor. OK it did skip for 1 & 1/2 months - but then surprise!! The doctor said I have to have no period for at least a year first. BLAH!

Right now I am trying to deal with this stress the best I can. We are down to D' day now with the house. It seems like everything is gonna work out but who knows. We sit biting our nails waiting and wondering for now.

Breakfast yesterday was chorrizo and eggs and homemade corn tortillas with chia seeds inside and some blackberries and raspberries.
Lunch was chicken breast, broccoli and avocado. After I ate 2 small cookies I made.
Me and the furry girls get our daily walk in at least 1 mile or so. I have noticed that Peaches gets tired faster now. She is 13 but she is a trooper and loves our walks and tries real hard.

Dinner last night was a spinach salad and a pc of fish and asparagus and zucchini.

Breakfast (my most important meal of the day) this morning was eggs with onion, green pepper, mushrooms, baby spinach and a little cheese with 2 small end pcs of toast with my homemade butter and chocolate hazelnut butter. I love that stuff.
Remember I write this blog for YOU so if there is anything I or we can help with to help you reach your healthy weight loss goals - comment below and we will all pitch in and help the best we can.

So in case you missed these 2 on Facebook,
Yesterday I was cuddled up on my chaise lounge chair watching the news and kind of falling asleep and felt and heard someone behind the chair then felt someone touch my hair - twice. My invisibles are back... I'm really not paying attention any more I guess. I got tapped on the shoulder in bed a week or so ago too.
Have a nice weekend - He-he

WE CAN add it up and do it ourselves...

Hello Friends,

So I have been going through a lot lately. Well it seems that way for me anyway. I have been letting the stress, hormones, depression of it all get to me and my weight went up because of it.

So what did I do?? Well I'll tell you what I didn't do.
I didn't go out and just eat a bunch of crap just because...
I didn't binge eat because - "well I'm up in weight anyway so I might as well go eat a big plate of Chili cheese fries and a Blizzard from Dairy Queen."
NOPE... Not me. I just kept eating what I always do and what I always have to get to where I am today in stead of where I was before.

I always try to be honest with you and myself all the time. How ever I am doing I always just spill it.

I didn't tell you but yesterday when my weight was so far up I went frantically looking thru my closets to see where I put my size 8's and 10's pants just in case. I found them but realized I was just being silly.

The Main thing I have learned now is that I AM in CONTROL of my food. Food tastes good but it will not make me feel any better or take away the stress or the depression from the stress if I eat JUNK!!

Ok - so I really want to encourage all of you to just think for yourself. Just because someone posts a recipe or diet or anything don't just follow them blindly. Do your own research and figure out if it is actually HEALTHY and what will be best for you!!! Check the ingredients on the labels.
For example; On Jorge's facebook page someone actually asked
"Can I eat turkey bacon instead of regular bacon?"
SERIOUSLY?? Do you think he will answer that question or that he actually cares if you eat turkey or regular? No...
If you think turkey bacon is healthier (like I do) than eat it - don't ask. He is NOT a doctor.

Don't be a LEMMING.....You are SMARTER than you realize...These people are just giving us the formula - WE CAN add it up and do it ourselves...

So did you notice I still have my BITCH hat on today???? I guess it is getting too comfortable on me, I better take it off soon. LOL

My breakfast yesterday was toast with my homemade butter and chocolate-hazelnut butter a few blue and blackberries and 1 strawberry
Lunch was 3 more of the zucchini fritters I made the day before, 1 with sour cream and 2 with hummus on top.
Dinner was blackened salmon, 1/2 zucchini and 10 thin asparagus. desert was 2 protein bites and rediwhip.
I had twins in my eggs this morning.
Breakfast this morning was the same toast with the eggs and a few blue and blackberries and 2 small strawberries cut up.
Lunch was broccoli and the last 2 zucchini fritters with sour cream.
Yeah I ate 2 of those cookies I made after. I am hopeless - I  know.

At least for me I know that I am a sweet addict and make sure to have some healthy ones made all the time so I will eat those. If I didn't have those - who knows what would happen. Gotta be prepared.

Well thanks for listening to me today and have a nice day.

Can I be Honest?

Hi All,

I hope you are all having a nice day. Or at least an acceptable day. So I was watching Dr. Oz Monday - well trying to. I missed a bunch of it but they were talking about the Paleo diet and had Dr oz's daughter on there. I did manage to catch something she said that really struck a cord in me.

She said something like; The fact that she had lost 30 lbs by being healthy now and kept it off for 7 years. She said that food used to rule her. Food ran her life before but Food does not have power over her any more.

I thought - That's me now. I am in control of my food. My food does not control me. It sounds so simple right? If you are new at this, yes it will be difficult in the beginning, (It was for me) but once you get a grip on it - it comes to be just like second nature to you.

Just keep eating healthy and Never give up...and you WILL reach your goal. Once you get there, just keep eating the same way that got you there, easy as that.

So that's what I started writing last night but - Can I be honest?  So to be honest this morning I am feeling like absolute SHIT! I posted on Facebook yesterday how I have been wearing my Bitch hat the past week and just don't feel like taking it off yet...

Well, Yup, I can't tell what is taking me over more lately - my hormones, lack of sleep, I'm lonely, the STRESS over that stupid house!! So this morning my weight is WAY up because I am letting it all get to me. I'm not even gonna tell you how much. I am just stupid for letting this happen the past week. I'm sorry and I know I am usually the positive one - I am supposed to say what you want to hear, but not today.

I am not really eating anything bad and have not changed much in my diet. Well I did get some new Probiotics at Sprouts. The bottle said the serving size is 3 but I have been taking 2 every morning. They are expensive so I am trying to let them stretch.
My breakfast yesterday;
2 eggs, toast with homemade butter and chocolate hazelnut butter, 2 strawberries cut up and turkey bacon.

For lunch I made some more Zucchini fritters
I ate 2 for lunch with some sour cream on top.
I made another batch of Chocolate-chip-cheesecake-cookies the other day and ate 2 after lunch.
Later on I wanted a snack and made some Kale chips.
Went for a walk with the furry girls like usual. The weather has been great and very warm.

Well that's it for now. I have to get a grip and get my crap together.

I don't know her...

Hello Friends,

You know, lately when I come on here to post I look at that before and after picture of myself and I seriously wonder who that other person even was. I don't know her! I know that none of you knew me like that before picture but I had a totally different mindset and view on life than I do now.

Now I know that we don't have to just accept looking that way and feeling the way I did before. I just new that at my age of 50 before I started the BFC, I would always be that size - and nothing I did would change that - it was too late for me - so I'm just gonna eat what ever I want - who cares anyway - nobody....

Do any of those feeling sound familiar? Well you are not alone and it is possible to lose the weight like I did and keep it off forever. And here is the secret.......
Even though I felt in the beginning that I was on a diet (because I wasn't eating like everyone else) As I kept going and continuing to loose weight - I learned that eating healthy instead of all that CRAP I used to was all it takes to be what you want to be.

Topic Change;
So whats going on? First they keep saying don't eat wheat anymore cause it bad for us - now they keep saying to not eat Almond flour cause its bad for us....

Those of us that started eating almond flour in our baked goods realized early on that is was more fattening than other flours. We can't eat it all day every day and we figured that out, but to say its bad for us might be a stretch I think. Its just ground up almonds. Would we eat 50 almonds all at once?? NO -  So I think - like the wheat thing, in moderation is the key to everything we eat..  Thoughts?

Breakfast yesterday;
So I had a little pumpkin puree in a container in the fridge and need to use it up. So I made a pumpkin muffin. I saw on another healthy site I follow that she added coconut flour and flaxseed. So I made it like this;
1 tb of coconut oil (melted)
1 egg, some USA milk, 2 tb of coconut flour, 2 tb of fllaxseed, 1/2 t baking powder, 2 tb of pumpkin puree, spices-cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla and stevia drops.
I added in a few blueberries and crushed walnuts.

I mixed it all up in a small glass bowl and cooked in microwave. It was kind of thick so I had to keep cooking longer - like 5 min.
I ate it with my homemade butter on top.

This morning I made another one with the last pumpkin but I made it with 2 tb coconut flour and 1 tb of psyllium husks - MUCH better...Not as dry and yummy with Natures Hollow preserves on top also.
Yesterday afternoon Hubby and I went to look at another house - you know just in case. Then we went to Islands for lunch. I ate a 1/2 jungle cesar chicken salad and some fries - like maybe 12 dipped in ranch. They are skinny.

Then we went ot his moms house in Pasadena - his sister who lives up north was down with her 2 girls just for the day. We visited and Hubby fell asleep on the couch. LOL Then he had to go to work at 6pm. I stayed for dinner and had a pc of chicken and pulled off the skin,  green beans, salad, and 3 bites of mac & cheese and 3 bites of a cake after.

By the time I got home it was 9:30pm and my furry girls were waiting and happy to see me. Its funny but when I am gone like that they never eat or hardly drink - just wait for me all day - well and probably sleep

Right now I am trying to be quiet while hubby takes a little sleep and he wants to go see that Tom Cruise movie - Oblivion when he wakes up before he goes to work.

Have a nice day - its gonna be between 85-90 here.

Sugar Calories??

Hello My Friends,

I first want to say how gorgeous the weather is lately, Clear with pretty blue skies and warm - 80 degrees. The Clear part doesn't happen all the time. It does get smoggy at times here in Southern California.

Every time I turn on the TV the past week, it is nothing but devastating stuff. The bombing in Boston, The explosion is Texas, shootings here and there. All I can say is; if you believe in something - we should all PRAY...

So I am feeling the need to talk about Jorge's Latest-Newest thing. The Sugar Calorie thing... First I just want to say how much I appreciate Jorge for writing the Original Belly Fat Cure book. That is how I lost all my weight. But with that being said.... I don't like any of the other books or diets he has come up with since. Even though I am in one of those books.

And I am so sorry that he does not respond to many of your questions on his Facebook page. But you know what??? We are all here for you. We have a great Boggin community and are will to help you all lose weight and be healthy. I have Blog Lists on the right side bar for you to join and read and get support.

The Sugar Calorie counting thing is not getting any good reviews or comments that I have read. You have to take the carbs in a food that you eat and times it by 4 and that is your sugar calories and you are only allowed 100 per day.

To ME - and I have said this MANY-Many times; You really need to be eating the way you can see yourself eating for the rest of your life. PERIOD - The END...

For Instance; If you are eating the fast track way and consuming NO grain carbs at all, eventually you will be tempted and give in and make BAD food choices and mess everything up you were trying to do in the first place.

Once you start focusing on getting healthy the weight will take care of itself. This WILL take sacrifice. You must be willing to make drastic changes in your diet to lose the weight. No other way around it.

What is Healthy Eating???

Healthy means Low sugar,
No Artificial sweeteners of ANY kind.
No more sweet drinks like juices, soda or wine coolers
Eat healthy fats - like avocado, nut butter, real butter, coconut oil, etc.
No White stuff...white rice-white bread-white pasta-white flour tortillas.
Eat home more, Make your own healthy treats.

What did I miss? Fill in the blank... Healthy eating to me is___________________

My breakfast yesterday morning was toast with my homemade butter and almond butter, 2 strawberries cut up and a few blueberries and turkey bacon. I needed a break from eggs for a few days.
Lunch was some chicken strips and fried zucchini dipped in ranch and hot sauce for the chicken Hubby brought home. Can't do this all the time cause its fried - but once in a while is OK.

I was having a bad day.Very moody and hormonal. Arguing about the house crap. Please let it be over soon! Me and the Furry girls had a nice walk and I came back home and just had a spinach salad for dinner with some goat cheese and bacon bits and 1 g of sugar dressing. And YES I ate desert even though I said I was going to try NOT to.  I really tried but those last 2 cookies in the fridge were calling my name and they said I need some Rediwhip to dip with.... Really they said that!!

Thanks for listening to me today and have a great day.

Grouchy-tension and No-Yoke-Healthy-Deviled eggs

Hi Friends,

How is everyone doing today?? I was a bit frustrated today still gathering up stuff for the loan. Stuff from a LONG-ASS time ago that we had to find. It did cause some grouchy-tension between Hubby and I arguing over stupid stuff. I am so glad this CRAP is almost over, one way or the other. We get it or move on.

I know some or a lot of that tension might be from my hormones. That and the lack of sleep. Last night I watched the second to last episode of Dowton Abbey and didn't realize it was 2 hours long and went to sleep after midnight which is late for me and really not like me. I am a creature of habit - well that and I am OLD and So of course I couldn't sleep cause I threw myself off my pattern. Well its not like I sleep well anyway. Only one more episode to go.

The weather is good. Me and the furry girls get our walk in every day. You just gotta love livin in Southern California.

My breakfast yesterday was turkey bacon, berries and some pancakes.
I used 2 eggs, a bit of unsweetened almond milk, baking powder, about 15 drops of vanilla cream stevia, 1 tbsp (not measured-just a metal spoon) of ea. coconut flour, almond flour, flaxseed, and Psyllium husks-
That's the thing I never used in pancakes before. The recipe I saw said the psyllium makes it more fluffy. They were thicker and I had to cook them longer and on a lower heat. My recipe made 4 so I had 2.
For lunch I made pizza. I used the last little bit of cauliflower and some shredded zucchini, a bit of shredded mushrooms and onion and cut up jalapenos (of course), cheese, 1 egg, and spices. It made 2 so I ate one and had the other one for today. I put hummus and some tomato slices and a bit more cheese.
Dinner last night was a spinach salad and wings. And 2 protein bites and rediwhip for desert.

Breakfast this morning was the other 2 pancakes. This time with syrup.
Lunch was the other pizza with hummus, tomato, cheese and turkey pepperonis.
Hubby found these recipes for No-Yoke-Healthy-Deviled eggs using other stuff as fillings instead of the yokes so I boiled a bunch of eggs the other day and peeled them for him.
Of course I had to keep telling him what to do - but he took the credit. We made some guacamole out of what we had; 1 avocado, a little bit of onion, jalapenos and tomato cut up, lemon juice, sea salt, and a spoon of mayo and bacon bits - then topped with some grated parmesan cheese. YUM - I ate 3.
For dinner I ate some broccoli, brussel sprouts, chicken and alfredo sauce.
Desert was 2 protein bites and rediwhip again. I am addicted to sweets, seriously - and that's why I really need to make sure I have some healthy ones made on hand. I swear, I try to not eat them after dinner - but can't resist. I will try harder tomorrow.

Well - you all have a good one and thanks for listening to me today.

Whoop-Whoop...

Good Morning Friends,

As you can see, yesterday morning I was playing around with my blog and changed the look to make it seem a bit cleaner. Hopefully you all like it better.

Then I was watching a show I DVR'd and saw on the Facebook feed that there was a bombing in Boston. I turned on the news and was just heartbroken. I just don't understand what is wrong with people now a days. Why do they think its OK to hurt and kill others just because they don't agree or are angry. Just tears.

On a brighter note - I believe we met all the conditions of the loan and they might be ordering the docs today maybe. That was a bit stressful gathering all the pidy stuff they kept asking for. It needs to close before the end of this month - SO hopefully...

Last night I was on my phone and saw this on my Facebook feed;
WHAT??? TheProteinPrincess on Facebook had a Jay Robb giveaway. Whoop-Whoop. Yeah I actually won something GOOD. Thanks Protein Princess.

So that was 2 things good yesterday. Things actually - might - just be getting a tiny bit better.

Lately I have been taking my Magnesium vitamin right before bedtime instead of in the afternoon. I heard it helps you sleep. It might be helping IDK. If you go to my Fav Products page I put a list of vitamins I take.

Remember the night before I posted a picture on Facebook of me having some Pinot Noir wine to relax?? Well sure enough yesterday morning I woke up 2lbs heavier. Just FYI this happens to me all the time and this is why I always say; not to listen to Jorge and drink 2 glasses of red wine a day and you will lose weight still - CAUSE You Won't!

This is why when ever I drink some wine or eat popcorn at the movies I know this will happen and I always try to account for it by skipping my lunch when I eat the popcorn and try to eat less the next day after drinking wine and popcorn to balance my system and get the weight back down.

I think where some of you might be going wrong is - you think because its a special occasion or holiday or vacation, you can eat whatever you want and then just jump right back in again. Its too hard to do that. You already bit the apple so-to-speak.

Do like I have done from the very beginning. When you are at those type of functions, eat meat and healthy veggies and pick 1 food that you used to love--- for me its always a sweet, then take bet 1-3 bites and then STOP - Walk Away. This works - trust me. You get to feel normal like everyone else.

I know I lost a lot of weight and some of you might only have a little, but being healthy is just that...Being Healthy and we all can do it.

YES Even YOU!!!

My breakfast yesterday morning was 2 homemade corn tortillas with chia seeds inside,  2 scrambled eggs with baby spinach and a little cheese inside and a few berries.
Lunch was some riced cauliflower (about 1 cup), a can of tuna, bacon bits, mayo, feta cheese - all mixed up
OK so I had a sweet tooth and ate 2 of those cheesecake cookies that I made after.

Hubby had to wait at the DMV for like 4 hours to turn in his medical cert for his D.L. for the F.D. Of course he didn't eat and was so starving after - we went to the Hometown Buffet for dinner. I did like I always do and ate what ever veggies were healthy, a small salad and a small pc of fish and chicken with the skin removed - and a couple bites of desert after.

Hubby has to work the night shift for a bunch of days in a row - so maybe I can get some sleep. He-He.

Have a great day and thanks for listening.

Not much going on today.

HI All,

I am so tired today. I am getting absolutely no sleep, either is Hubby. I do manage to get in my walk with my furry girls every day no matter how I feel though. I don''t really have much to talk about. The weather is still great.

Yesterday for breakfast I had toast with my homemade butter and almond butter, avocado, eggs, and berries.
I cooked and shredded a head of cauliflower the other day and have been eating a cauliflower crust pizza every day since. What I do is put the head in water and bring it to a boil then drain off all the water and let it cool then shred in the food processor. Now its ready for anything.
My lunch yesterday, a cauliflower crust pizza with turkey pepperoni and a spoon of my low sugar pasta sauce.
Dinner was A big handful of spinach, broccoli and chicken with alfredo sauce and microwaved so the spinach wilted. It was good. For desert I actually ate a few bites of clemmys toasted almond and 2 protein bites. I know - too  much but like I said I am tired...
Breakfast this morning for me and hubby was eggs with sauted mushrooms, onion, and green pepper, spinach, turkey sausage crumbles and a bit of cheese - and toast with my homemade butter and almond butter.
Hubby and I went to the movies in the early afternoon. It might be the last time for a while if the house actually closes soon. We saw Trance it was a bit confusing but good. I ate a small popcorn and 2 of my cookies I made the other day. No lunch.

When we got home we were both Pooped. I sat down for a little while and then took the girls for a walk in the fresh air, it helped.

My dinner was another cauliflower crust pizza with alfredo sauce, a tiny bit of shredded parmesan cheese, chicken cut up and jalapenos.
Right now I am getting to watch one of my Favorite shows -- Dr. WHO. I just love BBC America. I also only have the last 2 episodes of Downton Abby to watch. Almost done. I am prepared for the tears from what everyone said about the last episode. Actually almost each episode makes me cry.

Well thanks for listening and have a nice weekend everybody.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

Keep on BFC ' n :-)

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
