Just keep eating healthy...

Good Morning Friends,

I am sitting here - ate my breakfast and drinking my morning coffee and finished checking my email and stuff and thought I would write a post before I start my day of packing a little. I got some new Sweetleaf Stevia drops yesterday at Sprouts in cinnamon flavor. Very good.

If you don't know me that well, I just want to say that I am always honest and truthful about my weight and the food I eat. I never pretend to be someone I am not. I want you to know that I am a REAL person that got very lucky in finding the right thing to help me become the person I always should have been.

Lately I have been going through a lot of stress and my hormones going wacky from the almost-menopause (I thought anyways). It stopped for 2 and 1//2 months in the beginning of this year and then came back every month and now its back after only 3 weeks. That might be also why my weight went up. This morning it went down 1 lb and is at 152.

I think the main thing I've learned now is to not let that discourage me. I'm not sure if the men's weight jumps around like ours does, but mine jumps up and down 5 lbs in a heartbeat. So once you get to your ideal weight, give yourself a 5 lb window to go between and never go over that.

Yes I still weigh myself every night and every morning. I know its kind of kookey but if you were as big as me for as long as I was and then manage to find the miracle (which is only food - right?) you would get kind of OCD about the scale too. I just NEED to make sure that what I ate that day was not too much or the wrong types of foods.

I can NEVER let ME gain that back and get back to the OLD me.

Don't get Discouraged People - Just keep eating healthy...

So If you are struggling, don't give up. Network with us and get and give much needed support. There is a list of lots of blogs of others just like us on the right side of this blog. Don't be so shy - leave comments and we all will help you.

My breakfast yesterday morning, was a muffin with a few blueberries inside and my homemade coconut butter on top, and turkey bacon.
I left to run a few errands and took the deposit to escrow. Now we are Broke. LOL - So we wait. Everything is supposed to close - fund - and record by FRIDAY!! That is the extension date - so biting fingers a little.

When I got back I made another batch of the cauliflower tortillas. This time I put a little bit of shredded parmesan cheese, garlic, red pepper, italian spices to give them a bit more flavor.
I ate 2 of them for lunch with some tuna, mayo, horseraddish mayo, tomato and bacon bits.

My snack was 2 of those Almond-butter-omg-cookies
I did manage to get a walk in between the rain with my furry girls.

For our dinner I made a pot of Chorizo-and-kale-soup. I added in what ever green veggies I happened to have in the fridge - yellow onion, mushrooms, asparagus, zucchini, celery, and KALE of course. I only had 1/2 a pk of chorrizo so I added in some turkey cut up. Hubby loved it when he got home.
Desert for us was Berry-cheesecake-desert one for each of us with some RediWhip on top of course.
He thought it was not sweet enough - like most of the sweet treats I make. I told him I think it was from the 1 kind of tarty-strawberry I cut up on top not the 4 raspberries.
He keeps saying I have to make my stuff sweeter - I keep saying I make them the way I like them cause I am the one eating 98% of them - SO.... Eat it and like it or Don't. Its pretty simple.

OK well - I gotta go. Have a nice day.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  4. Great news! Broke for a good cause. I made this amazing carrot cake from your lighter side and hubby thought it wasn't sweet enough. I thought it was too sweet. Funny how our taste buds change as we eat this way.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
