Can you say Nervous Wreck??

Good Morning Friends,

I hope all is well with all of you. The weather is still awesome here, sunny and 90 pretty much every day.

So I have been trying to prepare myself for the surgery tomorrow morning. Although I know its just my foot, I am worried about tons of stuff.
Like how the heck am I supposed to take a shower when I can't get it wet?

Who will take care of my furry girls? They are used to routine. A walk EVERY day right before dinner time then 1 treat when we get back. Hubby doesn't even make sure they have water or food and he will not take them for regular walks. He is part Vampire or Hermit or something and will not go out when the sun is out and you know from what I have said about the coyotes around here - we don't do that when the sun sets.

I can't sleep at all - you should see how puffy my eyes are right now.

My ET's are getting pretty bad now which makes me feel bad. Nobody is around me that much to see it - I guess. I seem to have the dropsies lately. I dropped an expensive jar of my face moisturizer a few days ago on the bathroom floor, and the other day I was in the kitchen cooking and made a horrible mess of dropping a jar of Jalapenos. And lets not talk about trying to get the food in my mouth off the plate.
Yish - sometimes I just hate these ET's

Can you say Nervous Wreck??

I am trying to make sure I have some stuff I like to eat ready so I won't have to worry about that.

So I made some Cream cheese-chocolate chip cookies and put some in the freezer. This stupid oven gets so hot - almost burned the second batch. A repair guy came out and ordered the thermostat to fix that - so soon I hope.
I made a batch of Chocolate-Almond-Protein bites and cut them up and put them in the freezer.

I made 2 batches-12 total of my cauliflower-cheese pancakes and put 2 in each baggie with some parchment paper in between in the freezer.
I went to the store and got a few things yesterday.

I gave myself a bare pedicure yesterday. I figured they would say no polish for the surgery. See the bump on my right foot below the big toe?

Oh yeah - the right foot - SO how will I drive? and for how long will I be grounded?

Today I am gonna change the sheets and do what laundry is left and make another batch of my coconut butter and almond butter so at least I can have toast for breakfast. Oh Geeze - if I have my bread. I have to go get some bread today.

Remember on the last post I said when I went to Sprouts they were out of my favorite of Alpine Valley 12 grain?? So I got my good ole stand by - Oasis low-carb sprouted flaxseed bread instead. Holy CRAP!! Now I know why I love the Alpine Valley so much better... No contest. Seriously!! You gotta try it.

My breakfast yesterday. Chorrizo and eggs with mushrooms and kale inside, 2 homemade corn tortillas with chia seeds inside. I made enough for hubby also - but he didn't eat it.
Lunch was 2 cauliflower crust pizzas. 1 for me and 1 for hubby - but he only at  1/2 so for me today I guess. That dang oven again - almost burned them. Can't wait for that part to come.
Dinner was some more of the Un-Stuffed cabbage I made.

Breakfast this morning was the other half of the eggs from yesterday.
OK I'll talk to you all in a few days. Have a good one.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  6. Bless your heart, Rosalie. I know the surgery will go well but I can understand the worry.

You know I have ET's too. I swore I wasn't going to take any meds. They got so bad I had no choice. It might be something you might want to consider. Let me know and I can fill you in on several. I tried many before landing on the one I take regularly now. Your family Doc can prescribe them or a Neurologist will also.

Keep your pretty head up. Concentrate on how great things will be once the surgery is behind you and the healing is underway.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
