How's everything going with you on your journey?? There is so little activity on all our blogs lately that it worries me a bit. I hope that you all have not thrown in the towel.
Don't give up and once you get past the Hump, it will be so much easier. I remember thinking in the beginning that I can't understand why some people say this is not a diet! To me it was because I couldn't eat what everyone else did.
I said many times "I can't eat like this forever"
But I just kept doing it and kept going even when my weight did not go down or even up a little. I kept reading other comments and blogs and got lots of ideas on what to change in what I ate and it DID work!
Now I LOVE the way I eat!! That is SO Important to LOVE the WAY you eat.
I cannot express enough to NOT just blindly believe others when they say something is healthy and good to eat on your plan. Do your own research and read the labels of ingredients and
figure SHIT out YOURSELF!!!!
Be your own person and become confident in what you eat and know you are doing it right!
Don't let the FOOD BULLIES get to you.
I am just a regular person and wasn't a heath nut-FREAK or worky-outy kind of person. SO, IF I can do this - than so can YOU!!!
The past couple nights I have been eating some of the Un-Stuffed cabbage I made for dinner.
Breakfast yesterday was one of my muffins made the same way as usual;
1tbsp of ea. coconut flour, almond flour, coconut oil, chia seeds, 1 egg, some usva-milk, cinnamon, baking powder, vanilla, crushed walnuts and a few blueberries - nuked for 2 minutes.
with my homemade buttters on top and turkey bacon, berries.
Hubby and I went to the movies at lunchtime and saw Elysium. Love Matt. we had popcorn and I ate 2 of hubbys chicken strips.
Stopped on the way home and got gas and at Sprouts. DANG-it they were out of my favorite bread - Alpine Valley 12 grain so I had to get my 2nd fav, Oasis low-carb sprouted flaxseed bread.
Now I know why Alpine is my FAV. It is so much chewier than the Oasis.
Yes for you new people - NO I am not wheat free. It does not affect me physically at all and I don't see anything wrong with eating my toast or brown rice or grains a few times a week.
Remember if you are not eating healthy type of carbs at all to lose weight - as soon as you start again eating them - YEP your weight will go back up. So try to find a way to eat just overall HEALTHY. The way you can keep eating forever. Don't deprive yourself or you might go off track and binge.
My breakfast his morning.
I am trying to prepare myself mentally for the surgery on Tuesday morning. The docs office called me yesterday and said it will be at 9:30am. So I'm pretty sure I will be starving when it is done and I get home. It on my right foot so I don't know how or if I can drive after I am feeling better. We shall see.
Thanks for listening and have a great day.

Hope you have a fast recovery or your foot surgery. and that is smart to have some sweets and other things frozen for the days when you need them or no time to cook. I really need to have the hubby get the garage together so I can put my NEW deep freezer that has been sitting on the back porch for almost a year in there...so I too can freeze more things...wishful thinking.
ReplyDeleteThat soup looks so good that I might make it next week. Don't stress about your foot surgery, as I'm sure everything will go just great. Maybe your husband can pick up some food for you while youre in surgery for the drive home ;)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend and don't worry.

I saw the un-stuffed cabbage recipe floating around FB and thought it looked good and fairly simple to make (I hate to cook).
ReplyDeleteI know I've said this before, but thanks for blogging.
Many prayers and blessings coming your way, Rosalie. I know as healthy as you are, the surgery will go well and you will heal quickly. :) Positivity helps in SO many areas of our lives. You are one of THE most positive people I know. Thank you so much for being you and for being here for all of us!

it is true about the carbs - they do add weight back on if you eat them again, so you have to be aware of that. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right about liking what you eat. I really believe that will be the answer for most. I am still doing good, but the weight is NOT coming off:( I did this to myself, so I will keep plugging away.
ReplyDeleteI will pray for you on Tuesday for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.
