My Precious Furry Girl...

Hi Friends,

Well today is my 55th Birthday. Every time I said that out loud all year - "I'm gonna be 55 in January", I would think--- Did I just say that out loud? Sounds old but I don't feel that way.

Hubby just left this morning for a whole week to go do one of those driving jobs again. I am alone until the 9th I think is when they get back.

I have been going to work at 10am till 5 or 5:30 usually every day. So with a half hour lunch that is 6.5 hours which is better than no.5 hours.

I worked today then now I am home. I have no one to hang out with tonight on my birthday but I wanted to hurry up and get here for my Mandy. She is pretty bad and I made an appointment for 10:40 in the morning to have her put to sleep. She is withering down to nothing. Can't eat, and Hubby and I noticed that the reason she is not throwing up in the house anymore is because she goes out the doggie door and does it outside the time.

Bless her heart  - she is such a good girl, but is in so much pain and so weak now. I just can't stand to see her like this anymore. seriously don't know how Peaches and I will get thru this next week - just the 2 of us all alone. Peaches has never been alone in the daytime and I'm just sure how she will be. That is worrying me as much as letting go of my Mandy.

I got to go out to lunch today with my co-worker Kathy and our boss Henry. We went across the street to Five guys burgers and I had one wrapped in lettuce and some of their fries. Of course we made him pay. LOL

Well I have to say goodbye now to my PRECIOUS Furry Girl who we love SO-SO much like one of my own children.
She hasn't smiled like this in several months now. I will miss that face. I fear I will be doing a ton of crying this next week - just me and Peaches.

Thanks for letting me share with you all the time.

Take care - this is PurpleRosy signing off...

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

On being 55, you get lots of discounts! I know it will be tough for you tomorrow, I wish I lived close by to visit.

  3. I'm tearing up just thinking about this. It is so hard to have to put a dog down, but it is the right thing to do. I just went through this with Riley last summer and I don't know what is worse having that apt hanging over your head or actually going to the appt. Never mind. It is all hard. But they are loyal and loving to us for many years and we have to be strong when they need us the most. My thoughts and prayers are with you. You are doing the right ting for your girl! XO!

    1. I'm posting under Pattie's message because I agree 5 million percent. They bring such joy into our lives. We have to find strength in the end for them even though we hurt more than words can say. I am sending up many prayers for you and Mandy as well. I believe we will see our dogs again in heaven. I hope you believe it too.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
