I know its Hard...

Hi-Ya Friends,

How was everyone's long weekend? Did you do anything nice or fun? I can't believe its September cause its still between 90-100 every day and lately closer to the 100 mark.

So my cell phone is ancient I guess. I have been using the same Motorola Droid Razr for like 2 years now. I don't complain but it was time for me to upgrade, so Hubby did his thang and found me a 2 month old used Samsung Galaxy S4. We met some guy and agrued with him and got it for a very good price.

We went to the Brea Mall and had a screen cover put on and went to eat lunch while we waited. I saw this Vegan place and ordered some brown rice and they said it was spicy pork with cabbage in it - but it was tofu - but tasted  and looked like pork!! It was SPI-C-EY!! And they put a ton of brown rice - about 2 cups worth. I said - You do know a serving is only 1/2 cup right?? I ate about 1/2 c worth and threw the rest away. It was very good.

We went to Hubby's mom's and she made stuff for dinner later. I ate a small pc of chicken, veggies and hubby brought me over a small pc of rib and says " I liked off the sauce for you"

I said  " YOU DID WHAT?" LOL - are all men born like that or do they just turn that way? For Real??

Anyway it was a nice visit with just us and her and his brother. We got home before dark for the furry girls. I ate one of my pumpkin-cream cheese muffins for desert.

So my breakfast this morning was more muffins, turkey bacon and berries.
I went to the doctors and he removed the stitches, and tape and said I am good to go to take a shower and I don't have too wear that boot thingy anymore. So Yeah!! He said to work on the joint forcing it up and down until it gets to normal with no pain. He said again how he couldn't believe how bad the arthritis was in my foot and he removed big pieces and How was I walking without so much pain??

Well anyway Hubby and I went to a movie and saw the Butler. After we met my step daughter to Baby-Rat sit for a few days. Her other dog got hurt and had to go to the doggy hospital and she wants us to take care of her while the other one recovers.

We did stop at In-N-Out for a burger while we waited for her to meet us. I had a double-double with pickles, tomato, grilled onions - and cheese of course wrapped in lettuce.
 So guess who we have? She was and is so excited to see us - and kept kissing me all over me for hours. My 2 and her were all very happy to reunite too.


Well I guess I'm gonna got take them for a walk now.

I know its Hard...
I just wanted to say before I go that I know it is hard for some of you to lose the weight you want and keep it off.

You get confused and don't know if you should keep doing what you are doing or try the latest and newest  thing - like EVERYBODY else!

For me there is NO other way to eat but the Original BFC. There are lots of things that Jorge has recommended that I never eat any more. I have learned as I went along what is the healthiest and most logical way for me to eat - FOR EVER.. Not just a diet.

I have to tell you that this morning my weight is at 148 (which was my 90lb mark) and I have stayed at for over 2 and 1/2 years now.

I LOVE eating the way I do.
I NEVER let anyone talk me into eating anything I shouldn't.
I don't keep anything bad in the house to tempt me.

You MUST stay strong - consistent - and just keep doing what you know is the right way to eat.

That means some stuff that I DO eat like healthy bread, brown rice, oatmeal - some of those things that we are hearing NOW are actually not good for us, I don't eat every day.

I do eat them - just in moderation. Moderation is they key.

Like real butter is good for us in comparison to margarine which is bad - but I don't eat gobbs of butter every day - well - cause its fattening. But I DO eat it - in Moderation...

  1. I'm excited for Rat dog to be back with her second family! You know you missed her!
    I am so proud of you for finding something that works and putting in the time and effort to have it continue to work for you. You really do have a "cure". I was so bummed about my weight but I am wearing jeans today that I could not wear last June. Go figure???

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
