Cleaning today...

Morning Friends,

Not much going on here. The weather is still AWESOME!! Like usual. Today is supposed to be 85ish here. That's why I love to live in Southern California, even when we think its cold over here - its only like 50ish and sweater weather. LOL

Yesterday I did 3 loads of laundry, a bunch of paperwork and made a batch of Chocolate-almond-protien-bites and put them in the freezer for next week so I will have a sweet treat to ease the pain after my foot surgery. :-)

I made a pot of what I called Un-stuffed-cabbage. I saw on Sandy's page something like this. I grew up eating stuffed cabbage and love it. But cabbage is one of the things that I was eating in moderation since the BFC because of the sugar. This stuff tastes just like stuffed cabbage rolls - but in a pot, and of course I used turkey instead of beef. Very good.

Today I plan on cleaning the house, vacuuming, mop, bathrooms and maybe my toes if I feel like. I don't think I can have on polish for the surgery so maybe I will just do clear. I can't have my feet looking like flintstone feet for the surgery. LOL

I seemed to have not been eating any wheat the past week, but that's only because I ran out of bread and need to go to Sprouts today. and believe it or not my weight is up 3lbs this morning - so I DON'T believe it keeps the weight down.

My breakfast yesterday was a muffin - like the usual way with crushed walnuts and a few blueberries inside, with my coconut butter on top.
Lunch came up too quickly and this is all I could find real quick. Shirataki noodles, turkey meatballs and monte bene pasta sauce.
Snack was the last lonely cookie with some of my chocolate-hazelnut butter on top - and yes it was GOOD.

After I was done cutting the protein bites - well I had to eat all the crumbs in the pan and 1 that looked deformed. Well I just couldn't put it away like that now could I?

My dinner was the Un-Stuffed Cabbage
I wound up with 2 walks yesterday - 1 in the morning and 1 later after dinner.

My breakfast this morning was Oatmeal-Protein pancakes. I love these. They have good texture and taste. I ate some bites with Natures hollow preserves and some with my coconut butter. Happy Tummy now to start my day.
OK gotta go clean now - so have a nice day.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. I grew up with stuffed cabbage too. That soup looks good. I did what I said and I am reading our blog from the very beginning. Very motivating. You really accomplished something important and should be proud. Don't work too hard! XO

    1. I do remember being very sinical in the beginning and thinking that I can NEVER do this forever. Boy I was wrong. LOL

  3. Did you see the post on one of the many sites that the gal just makes the muffin a little more runny and makes it into pancakes? I don't eat the muffin, but I wondered if it was the same?
That dang weight gain!!! Good luck to both of us on getting it off!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
