Hi Friends,
My Breakfast yesterday morning I made a couple of those tarts again. This time I used 2 oz each of cream cheese and butter, melted a little in the microwave
Then I added in 1/4c of almond flour - not doughy enough so I added a bit more, still not enough, so I added in a couple tbsp of coconut flour and this was the result.
The texture was much better, but for some reason not as cheesey. Have no idea why - but real, good.
So I ate one and some turkey bacon for breakfast.
I put some hazelnuts in the oven to make some Chocolate-hazelnut-butter.
My lunch was the leftovers from the night before, asparagus and chicken.
I guess I was bored so after my running around and shopping I made some kale chips and then whipped up the chocolate-hazelnut butter. I love that stuff...
Oh yeah and I made some cauliflower-jalapeno-cheese muffins too.
And ate 2 of them for dinner and a spinach salad. No desert - WHAT??? Yeah I had to feel my own head on that one. LOL
Breakfast this morning was toast with - guess what?? The chocolate-hazelnut butter, eggs and berries
Now - Don't judge, but this was my lunch. The other tart, 2 muffins and some kale chips and a orange zevia.
I make sure to get a walk in ever day with my furry girls.
Dinner tonight was a spinach salad and a few buffalo wings.
The weather is still super warm - around 90. We went and looked at another house yesterday with a great view and we were thinking about putting in a offer on it - but the agent said they already had like 10 offers, so I'm sure we didn't even have a chance. So Pass. Still waiting for the short-sale.
Well that's it for me today. Welcome to all the new people on here. Put any questions you might have in the comments below and we will all do our best to help you.
This is PurpleRosy signing off...

Some tips if you are having trouble
- First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
- Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
- Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
- Make sure you drink lots of water.
- Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
- Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
- Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
- Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
I hope this helps.

No Judging Here!!! WilL Try The Dough Soon
ReplyDeleteYou are so funny, I love that when you are bored you make kale chips!
ReplyDeleteYour meals always look so yummy! I'll have to try that hazelnut butter - I love nut butters and it looks pretty easy to make.
ReplyDeleteWe've been having really nice weather this week as well - time to get out and enjoy it!! We're coming home (to California) this July. Can't wait. My parents still live there and my dad always says, "You can't beat the weather in California", and he's right! Have a great weekend!
Just as I was getting ready for Spring...it's cold again here. Bummer! Chocolate roasted hazelnut butter is the best - unfortunately I'm staying away from all nut butters for awhile. I do love Kale and I just found a recipe for a delicious Kale salad. I'll post it on my next blog.
ReplyDeleteI tried making the tarts last week sometime using almond flour and they didn't work that well, because I rolled them too thin, I think. I had to use double the flour. I'll try making them again this weekend with both flours - looks like you found the solution!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how hot it is just 45 mins away from me! It's freezing here! It really hasn't gotten over 60 degrees this week and it's bumming me out! Today there was actually a foggy mist that made my hair flat. GRRR! Ready for warmer weather. As usual, your food looks awesome. Wanna come cook for me? :)
