I took 1 whole bunch of kale and tore into bite size pieces off the stem. Washed and let dry.
Lined 2 cookie sheets with non-stick foil ***I have no idea what I did before the non-stick was invented and have no idea why they still sell the regular foil???
I sprayed the bottom of the foil with Spray Olive oil - I used the store brand from Sprouts.
Place the kale on the cookie sheets then spray with more olive oil spray and added some sea salt.
Bake in oven at 300 for about 10 minutes. It will vary according to your oven so watch closely and shake and turn over and make sure it does not burn.I sprinkled on some shredded parmesan cheese and put back in for a few minutes more.
Done and so DELICIOUS.
** Use your imagination and try different spices like: garlic or Nutritional Yeast or whatever**
I need to try your recipe. The great thing is that TJ's sells cut up Kale in a bag (now that's my speed)! Last time I made Kale chips I burned the heck out of them and let me tell you, burnt kale chips aren't good....hehehe! I think I'll give them one more shot using TJ's already cut kale and your recipe....I only wish I had read this 2 hours ago because I was just at Traders!

Hi Rosalie!!! Hope that you have been doing well. I have missed you & reading your posts. I just bought some kale today but was gonna make wedding soup with it. Perhaps I need to try this instead???
ReplyDeleteHave a great Sunday!!

I really do want to try those someday. What do you think they really tasted like? When I looked at buying Kale it was really expensive, I wonder if it is seasonal? The only Kale I have eaten is in Zuppa soup at Olive Garden:)
ReplyDeleteI buy Kale for $1.50 a bunch at sprouts so thats cheap enough. This was my very first time trying it like this too - I usually put in in stuff. It was Awesome and Hubby loved it!!
