Sometimes I Just Feel....

Hello All,

I really don't know what to talk about anymore these days. Sometimes I just feel like my heart and head feel so heavy. I know I shouldn't but find myself just laying around crying a lot when I am home alone. Geeze I cry for everything it seems.

OK - whatever...

I have been back to eating 3 times a day most of the time now and my weight is back at 148.
This is what I ate for lunch on Saturday. I made a zucchini crust but with everything inside thru the food processor. Zucchini, 4 green olives w/jalapenos inside, and the turkey peperoni - then added 1 egg, cheese, garlic, spices (italian and red pepper and onion) then I added a couple spoons of alfredo sauce, mixed all together and baked it on my silpat at 410 until it looked brown. A all in one pizza - very good.

Saturday we went to the movies around dinner time so the popcorn was my dinner.
 Breakfast Sunday
Lunch Sunday was; tuna, mayo, a small tomato cut up, very small pc of cucumber cut up, feta cheese and a handful of pork rinds crunched up.

Dinner was a spinach salad and some buffallo wings. For desert 2 protein bites and some rediwhip.

Today is supposed to be 106 and this is October??? I have not been faithful about my walking like I used to. Some days I just can't get up. But I just finished my breakfast and think I will force myself go now with the furry girls while it is still cool enough.

SO that's it for me. I hope you are all doing good in your diet. Remember that no matter what you are going through, Food will not help. You will always beat yourself up after. So just be strong and SAY NO!!

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

Cherish Yesterday - Dream about Tomorrow - But Live for Today

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. I love reading your recipes, they are so creative. I think you are so right, that food will not solve anything. Sometimes you do just have to cry and feel sad about things. I have found that grief has allowed me to synthesize a lot, even things not related to the loss. In your case there is a lot of history there, so it is more than the loss of your son. Which by the way is a very, very big loss. Sometimes we and others can minimize what a big loss it is because it's so painful. So, in my mind you have every right to cry - a lot.

I hiked around there for a hour or so..today I am going to force myself to go out and walk I haven't done it regularly I am just starting. That's great your back to eating 3 times a day. Hugs to you Rosalie.

  3. Well we hear that the dreaded "s" word is on its way this week... That'd be snow for anyone who doesn't live where it exists. Blech... it's been so very fall-like (i.e. cold) for quite some time already. But I will take it over that kind of heat - yucko! Keep plugging along, Rosalie. We're all thinking of you.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
