Now I Know

Hello Friends,

You know I do love blogging and sharing about my BFC journey with you, but like many of you have discovered - there is such a fine line. We have all discovered that what we say here, even though it is our blog and private journal, comes to bite us in the ass sooner or later.

We all love to share our personal stuff that goes on in our lives and I do believe that we should be able to do this - however I will not be doing that anymore. I am sorry and feel bad saying that. Hubby kept telling me to never say anything personal in any way shape or form on here and I just said what ever. He is right.

It's not like I post stupid comments or stuff on my public facebook wall. I post it here on my private blog, but still - it is public and anyone can read it and that's the way I want it. I want to reach out to anyone that needs help in losing weight. By showing that I am a real person - with real stuff going on - I thought it was OK - But now I know that I can't do that.

What I ate yesterday;
Breakfast was 2 oasis toast w/butter and peanut butter, turkey bacon, eggs and berries.
Lunch; I really didn't feel like eating anything at all, so around 2pm I made myself another smoothie w/MRM chocolate protein powder, a few berries, USAMilk, water, ice and psyllium husks.

I used to drink psyllium husks all the time in the beginning of doing the BFC for fiber and to help go #2. But it gets thick quick and is kind of gross. I have to tell you that by drinking it in the shake the past 2 days - I have had no problem with that at all. And mixing it that way you don't really notice it at all.

snack; 2 of my chocolaty treats.

Hubby and I went out and we were in the car doing stuff for over 6 hours. By dinner time we were hungry but did not want to spend too much money so we wound up at In-N-Out. I had a double-double wrapped in lettuce w/no sauces, a little grilled onions, cheese of course, tomato and pickles and about 8 of his fries and water.

Desert; when we got home I had some RediWhip in a bowl.

Thanks for listening and have a great day.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

Have Patience with Yourself

patienceHave patience with all things, but chiefly have patience with yourself. Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections, but instantly set about remedying them – every day begin the task anew.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. Whatever happened it makes me really sad:( I guess all good things come to an end sooner or later. There's so much of "you" in your blog, but certainly nothing that could be bad?

  6. Gosh Rosalie, in seems us women spend our lives trying to make everyone happy even at our own expense. I've never thought you divulged too much in your blog, only a glimpse at the frustrations we all put up with that sometimes make us want to eat! But...we moms/wives must be the peacekeepers and I totally understand how that goes.
-Also, I always put the psyllium husks in my shakes and by the end I'm spooning it out because it starts to get thick, but it's delicious! Is MRM a good brand of protein powder to get? And where do you find it?

    1. Yes Beth MRM whey protein powder is the only one I get now. I can usually get it for about $25 for a big container at Sprouts, but I think Hubby originally got it at Ralphs maybe. Sweetened w/stevia and only 1 gram of sugar.

    2. After comparing the MRM with the Jay Robb...I'd rather not use sugar grams. So am staying with the Jay Robb. We have been using the psyillium in it. The issue gets aggravating in this house

  7. Darn, no Sprouts or Ralphs in Maryland. I'll check my local health food stores though - thanks!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
