I am sorry to rub it in but the weather is 80% of the time gorgeous over here and gonna be 83 today. I hope the weather is nice where you are so you can go out for a daily walk like I do.
I had scheduled a appointment at the doctors last week when my hip was still hurting which stopped by the way so I went yesterday for a check up. I had to pick a new doctor at Kaiser cause mine from last year moved away - she got married I heard. I told the new doctor all about my weight loss and the BFC, my ET's, and the problem with my foot needing an operation.
She said I looked great and sounds like I eat real healthy. I have to go back to take the blood tests she scheduled, I have to fast for 12 hours prior so maybe Monday or Tuesday morning early. She told me they no longer recommend hormones for Menopause cause it causes breast cancer in some people that take it. I said good cause I didn't want to take any anyways.
I made some more of those chocolaty fudge treats yesterday. I wanted to make sure I would not run out cause I only had 1 left. Thank you so much girls for posting how you all made them and kind of pushed me to try them also.
See that's why I love our BLOGGIN COMMUNITY. We find idea and recipes and stuff that fits the BFC lifestyle and we all share with each other.
This is why I have been so successful on the BFC so far - it's because of YOU!
Sharing and Support is gonna be real important for your weight loss success too.
Here's what I ate yesterday;
Breakfast was 2 scrambled egg in coconut oil w/baby spinach and cheese, turkey bacon and cottage cheese.
Lunch was the left over veggies and chicken from the night before.
Snack was 2 chocolate fudge treats.
Dinner - now this might sound and look weird, but it was SO GOOD! Some meatballs cut up, broccoli, avocado mashed up, a bit of sea salt and nutritional yeast on top and some of that Spicy Chipotle dressing I love from Sprouts. It has great creamy spicy flavor.
Breakfast this morning was some berries and a muffin the way that Trina posted yesterday. I used 3 tb of almond flour and 2 tb of flaxseed and fixed it the usual way - this time I put 1 truvia, cinnamon, crushed walnuts, caramel extract and I always try to put a tb of chia seeds too-with 1 egg, a touch of natures hollow syrup and USAMilk.
I put butter on top and she is right! This way does taste way better, I think because I LOVE almond flour.
Well I am off to clean the bathrooms and vacuum now. Hubby is working day shift this weekend and I am alone like usual. If it wasn't This laptop and TV and my furry friends - I just might start talking to myself.
Who knows maybe I will go sneak and see that cartoon movie today with the girl with the red hair. Brave or maybe Rock of Ages or maybe both - hell I have nothing else to do.
Well have a great day. Big Hugs to you all. Don't forget my list of Blogs below and if you are not on the list - let me know and I will add your blog too.
This is PurpleRosy signing off...
My thought for the day:
Happiness in Life
The greatest essentials to happiness in this life are something to do, something to love and something to hope for.
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

You sound happier and that makes me happy:) I did not really like Rock of Ages. I don't really like that kind of music? Tom Cruise was amazing. Julianne is absolutely gorgeous, and Russell Brand is hilarious!!! But with all that said, it was just OK. I will be curious to know what you think. I am probably just one of few who don't like it.
ReplyDeleteI am jealous of your weather!
I'm glad you went to the doc. I'm gonna hunt down Trina's instructions...am always on the hunt for recipes. Hubby finished up the last of the home made granola I found on Melissa's blog so its time to make more. I also made her buns into a loaf of bread and used coconut oil instead of butter...we found a winner.
ReplyDeleteSo...I want to do a long weekend trip to your direction. Maybe I'll ask DH if he can take time off of work for a roadtrip.
Which is Melissa's blog? I'm interested in the granola and the bread!
DeleteSatisfying Eats...its blog on grain free and low carb. She has a FB page too.
DeleteI'm glad you saw the doctor, and it's nice to hear that she seemed to listen to you.
ReplyDeleteLOL ... when I saw your post title I had visions in my mind that you had gained 5 pounds and were blaming the protein bars :) So glad it wasn't that. I agree - this blogging has been the best thing that's ever happened to me (weight loss wise). All the blogs have been super helpful with ideas that have kept me going and being creative with what I eat. I was already making sugar free chocolates but your idea to add the almonds/coconut - inspired ... so yummy. Glad you like the muffin - my husband liked it too.
