  3. If you wonder where this comment came from, look to her April 27th post. I hope that you finally got some sleep and can realize that some people just like to push buttons, or be jealous. I'm so sorry that you have to go through this:(
We are here for you and you would have had a lot more support, but so many have dropped off the blogs lately. Keep up your good work and disregard negativity.
    You ROCK!!!

  4. You do rock Rosalie!! Ignore the rude people responding! Honestly, I don't think people should respond if they don't have somehting nice to say. They can go read someone elses blog. But I do look at your blog almost everyday for inspiration!! Keep inspiring, don't give up on those who love you!!!

  5. Rosalie, you should def keep blogging, you're obviously offering a lot of support to some people but felt since this was an open blogging atmosphere, I could express honestly how I was feeling about your posts. My apologies if that caused you pain. Good luck to you.

  6. Rosalie... I love reading your blog because I love how supportive you are to others in their quest to lose weight and have better health. In doing so, I feel like I have gotten to know you personally, like a friend, through reading every single one of your posts. Therefore, when you have a bad day or situation and you blog about it here, those of us who really have grown to care about you, do want to hear what's going on and really do care - even when you're having a tough time or a bad day. There are soooo many of us that care about you and love reading your daily posts. I feel for you and hope you can get some good rest soon. I've been sleep deprived before and it's not pretty. I hope to see you back soon because reading your daily posts is one of the highlights of my day and helps to keep me on track. Love ya Rosalie! Kim

  8. Hi Rosalie,

I'm just getting around to catching up on everyone's blog. I'm not sure what you mean by this, but I'm hoping that you're just frustrated and simply need a break.

Those of us who know you best know that your life has been difficult for a long while now, not to mention the peri-menopause and "middle-heimers" that you are dealing with, and we are here to support you through it...right now...right where you are at. I hope you don't allow those who don't understand you keep you from continuing to do what you love to do.

Some people internalize their stress (me), others don't (you); maybe that's why you are so good about not emotional eating. I have always assumed that you are going to be constructive with the stress in your life and grow from it instead of simply complain and then doing nothing about it; you don't strike me as that type of person. We understand that you share your stress though to help people see that you DO have stress in your life right now and you have been able to lose/maintain weight despite that, and so can we.

I am sorry that you are going through so much in your life right now and I hope things get better soon. I hope those comments aren't "the straw that broke the camel's back" for you. Sending extra hugs your way.

  9. Take a break if you need to, but don't stop all together. You are valuable, and an asset to many people on the BFC.

I will support you what ever you decide. Remember you matter and those who don't show you common courtesy are just selfish and unhappy people themselves.

    Trust me...misery loves company.

  10. I love you NO MATTER WHAT! you really feel like my friend. You encourage me, help me, inspire me, teach me, and motivate me! I have lost 20 pounds due to BFC and following your blog.

You do what u feel is right for you. Just know this: YOU are special. YOU are appreciated. YOU have helped me and many others--more than you will ever know. Your personal details/truthfulness/honesty/foodpics/daily struggles are so helpful bc you are just YOU. You are the most REAL blog I read, and I love it!

Please know what a profound influence you have on me. If this is the end, I will say goodbye. I guess it's true that you don't know a good thing, and you don't always fully appreciate it until its gone! Sorry for not ever commenting but I guess better late than never.

HUGS from one of your loyal shy and anonymous followers. God bless you.

  11. Hi Rosalie,

I am fairly new to your blog as I learned of it through the BFC page Amber set up on Facebook. I also blog and have used the forum to "vent" versus bottle emotions up and was surprised by the support I was offered by the few followers I have. The 2 comments left on your post from Friday were from people who really have no clue as to your situation and therefore really have no place to make any comment other than to acknowledge how crappy it is NOT TO SLEEP. I totally understand having to be responsible for something (or someone in my case) that you did not ask or want to have responsibility for. It disrupts life and it takes a while to get "used" to and make concessions or just adjust. I have enjoyed your blog and your supporters. The good you have here far outweighs the misguided and poorly mannered bad apples. I am of a certain age where the women in my family were raised on the saying, "If you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all." Perhaps the bad apples could take a lesson. There is a lot of love and support here for you and when you are ready to return, we will be here for you.
Much <3, support and thanks Rosalie
    Heather

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
