Not much to say today :-)

Hello all,

I don't really have much to say but I just wanted to share what I have been eating.


Thursday: Breakfast I had; 1 oasis toast w/butter and nature's hollow sugar free preserves, 2 eggs w/mushrooms, a little onion, asiago cheese and a left over chicken parmesan spinach sausage, 4 blackberries and 4 raspberries, coffee, blah, blah, blah.  S-5/C-1
Lunch: I mad an AWESOME sandwich! 2 oasis bread, turkey pastrami, colby jack cheese, sour krout, a little mustard and then I put some butter on both pieces and grilled it - OOH YUM, and I ate it with some pork rinds.  S-2/C-1
I spent more time scanning photos for the party on Saturday.
snack: a zevia soda and walnuts and cheese.  S-0/C-1
Hubby and I left to go run some errands, then we stopped at
TGI Friday's for dinner; I had steak (at only half), broccoli, and a tiny version of a cesar salad, a glass of Merlot and an appetizer of some awesome french fried green beans w/ranch wasabi dressing for dipping (those were good)  OH Yeah - I had a few bites of hubby's cheesecake. S-3/C-1

No walk tonight cause we got home too late. Boo Hoo.

Friday I ate:
breakfast; 2 eggs omelete w/ avocado and some of that cheese artichoke dip inside and on top, 2 turkey bacon, blackberries and raspberries, 1 oasis toast, w/butter and nature's hollow sugar free preserves, coffee, blah, blah, blah.  S-4/C-1
lunch; I made another sandwich like yesterday but I used this Buffalo Wing cheese that I got at Henry's today. It was orange in color and real spicy, with some veggie straws.  S-3/C-2
snack; celery w/ joseph's sugar free peanut butter
dinner; spinach salad w/feta chese, bacon bits, turkey, and Amies sugar free dressing, and sime RediWhip for desert.  S-0/C-0

I Walked tonight my 3.3 miles. I have to tell you that I always feel so great when I am done. Tomorrow is the 80th birthday party for hubby's mom. I am looking forward to it. I am gonna wear a sexy dress and I'll take a picture. I am not worried about the food, I always know how to improvise now without eating real bad.

I am so excited that my weight is still 152 lbs. It went up to 153.5 then back down. Such is life for us girls - right?? We just have to learn to roll with it and not feel like its the end of the world when our weight goes up 1 stinking lb. Big deal!! Before BFC, my weight went up and down 5lbs all the time.

I went to Henry's market today. It's getting ready to turn into Sprouts. I am getting real pissed. Every time I go in all the sugar free, hard to get stuff that I always get there, is slowly disappearing from the shelves. I did find some coconut flour and I am looking forward to making and trying that coconut bread of Dawn's.

  1. Have a great time at the party! I am excited to see your picture:) Even when you don't have something to say, say it! We all need you! You make much more elaborate food than I do. I wish I liked more things, healthy things!
    It is so funny that you eat pork rinds! I used to eat them all the time when I was little. I don't think I have had one in my adult years. I'll have to try them.
    The reason that I don't eat turkey bacon is because I just get the bacon from Costco that I microwave for 24 seconds. It is so easy and fast. Didn't you say you ate sausage crumbles? Maybe I will look for those as an alternative.

  2. Have fun at your party. I, too, can't wait to see pictures. I'm bummed about Henry's turning into Sprouts, too. I already have 2 Sprouts by me and with Henry's and Mother's Market, I can usually find all of the difficult to find BFC stuff. On a bright note, atleast Zevia is on sale at Sprouts this week ($3.99 for a 6 pack). I just tried the grape Zevia and am in LOVE! I still want to try the Black Cherry! Anyhow, just wanted you to know that I look forward to your blogs everyday (and to Ambers, Kay's and some of the other bloggers) You guys keep me on track! Please keep it up!

  3. My weight used to bounce up and down a lot pre BFC too. Now it's much steadier. I swear I've commented on this post- but there's nothing here! Funny... Hope you are having a nice weekend!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
