Looking - Looking

Happy March 1st to you all,

Yesterday was a kind of busy day for us. I started off with a good breakfast as usual.

lunch; tuna, 1 hard boiled egg cut up, feta cheese, mayo, mustard, 1 celery cut up, some jalapeno olives cut up, bacon bits, and some baby spinach and croutons.

Then we waited for the tow guy to pick up Hubby's car. He kissed it good bye-literally. He had stuff in the trunk which is in the front and could not open it, so we had to go to the tow yard later to have them pry it open we we  could get the stuff.

So we went to look at some cars for him. He is like a giant Man-Child-Toddler. He needs to have a cool-sportsy kind of car. Nothing practical or anything. So I was not enthused to accompany him or chofer (how the hell do you spell that word??) him around. We went and looked at a few places and  ate 2 squares of 86% dark chocolate I had in my purse.

We went to the tow yard and waited for the car to arrive and got his stuff out and went to look some more for a car. While we were out I talked to the receptionist at the Corona Honda dealer, Anna I think, and told her all about the BFC. So if you are reading this today - Hey Girl!!

snack: I also ate some nuts I had in a baggie in my purse. Looking at cars makes me hungry.

Came home and I made dinner.
a cauliflower crust pizza - so GOOD!! then some RediWhip in a bowl for desert.

Well we have to do a repeat of yesterday, looking for a car for Hubby. I don't wanna - Whaaaa!! I missed my walk yesterday and might again today too. I better go pack some snacks for my purse again.

Really looking forward to meeting Carey this Saturday :-)  We are meeting up in Fullerton near the Brea Mall around noon time if anyone wants to meet up with us too. :-)

Thanks for joining us and reading this and listening to me today. Lots of love to you all.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

Highest Aspirations

Far away in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see the beauty, believe in them and try to follow where they lead.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  3. I have a question... I see on some foods they take total carbs 12 and then fiber 4 and they subract the fiber from the carbs and that's the total carbs to count. Does that work for us?

    1. No Crystal we don't subtract on the BFC. Just total carbs.

  6. I'm so excited for Sat., too :) Hey, do you like the 99% dark chocolate bars that Katie was blogging about from Cost Plus? If you do, I have 3 unopened bars that you can have. Seems I liked the first bar that I tried, but now I am just not loving the dark chocolate thing. Hahaha about the hubs being a man/child/toddler! Aren't they all like that? Mine's a huge slob like a toddler! LOL! Anyhow, I hope that you guys find a car for hubby! :)

    2. The muffin is on minichicks blog. You click on it and it sends you to Mark's Daily apple. I commented on her blog to see if she would let me post the recipe on the facebook BFC page since everyone is liking the 1 min. muffin and was just about to check and see if she replied. FB inbox me you phone number just in case I get lost or something when we meet :) See you tomorrow at noon at Mothers in Brea.

  7. Happy March Rosalie! Good luck on the car hunt. I absolutely hate car shopping so no envy going on here, but getting a new vehicle is always fun. Its just the car salesmen & the back & forth negotiating that makes me want to pull my hair out! Good luck!!
I have missed you! Hope that all is well.

  8. Hey Rosalie, we are getting ready for that dreadful car shopping to. I hope you find something you like soon. I just hate the thought of having to have a salesmen bother you will you try to look. Hope to find something that has great gas mileage with all the high gas prices.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
