It's My Birthday Tomorrow...

Hello Everyone,

I am so glad to see so many people on here lately. That makes me real happy. I am here to help and support anyone that is willing to just ask. So spread the word and lets help as many people that want to be Big Fat Losers as we can.

As some of you know tomorrow Jan 3rd is my birthday. I am turning 53. Who knew that at my age I could lose 90lbs. Now comes the hard part that many of us face - keeping it off.

I am determined to never get back to where I was before the BFC. I have to admit that in the past week I am up 3lbs. I don't freak out about that anymore like I did in the beginning. I know that we as women (and Men too) our weight goes up and down sometimes up to 5lbs over night. I guess it depends on what we eat and how our #2 problem is.

Welcome Kat and Down M: They are both new here and need to lose over 50lbs and need our friendship and support.

Breakfast yesterday w/some of that zucchini-cheese coconut bread I made the other day.

Lunch yesterday; 2 slices of Oasis bread w/a can of salmon, little bit of lemon juice, mayo, dijon mustard, red pepper, onion powder, and avocado cut up.
snack yesterday; some peanut butter-chocolate chip clemmy's ice cream 1/2 cup.
dinner yesterday; meatballs, broccoli, shirataki noodles and alfredo sauce

I watched the Rose Parade this morning. I love doing that even though I don't have any kids at home anymore.
Breakfast this morning.
Lunch; we went to go see Mission Impossible at the I-max theater. It was expensive $19.50 each but Wow was it awesome. I did not know it would be so great with such a big screen.
I wrapped up some turkey lunch meat w/string cheese in the middle and put it in my purse and ate in the movies w/some popcorn (no butter)

After Hubby and I went into the mall to see if they had any cases for my new Motorolla Razr cell phone I got about a month and a half ago. They still don't have any except for just a plain color and I want a pretty one with a print and purple of course.

So we walked around and saw the Coach store. They were having a big sale.
Happy Birthday to me
So look what I got. Reg price was $368 + tax but I got it for $144 that was with tax. I don't have a silver purse and hubby never cares about that kind of stuff. I'm the one that never wants to spend money cause I don't work.

We found our was to the Kenneth Cole outlet store and I got these. I needed a pair of black flat shoes. Reg price $50 - I got them for $20 + tax.
another Happy Birthday to me..

I think I'm gonna get some RediWhip and 2 squares of 86% chocolate here in a minute.

Tomorrow I plan to visit Maria and Lisa and have lunch with them somewhere in pasadena I guess for my birthday.

I will check in tomorrow evening and let you know how my birthday went.

Thanks for listening and lots of love to you all. and remember - WWRD??

One of my biggest fears about turning 50 was that I would never lose all this weight I've gained. You have been a true inspiration to me by showing that it can be done. Thank you Rosalie!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
