Many days wind up kind of Fast Tracky

Hi Everyone,

Well I woke up this morning freezing. Can you believe that it was 35 degrees outside this morning. The pool even came on in the middle of the night for the freeze protection. HA. But it's supposed to be over 65 in the day. That's California for ya.

I had a great breakfast of:
2 poached eggs (in my microwave thingy), turkey bacon, 1/2 avocado and 2 slices of the zucchini-cheese-coconut flour bread w/natures hollow on top.

Tried to be quiet cause Hubby worked night shift last night and came home while I was in the shower.

OK, so Amber and others keep telling me that there are many days that I am doing the Fast Track even though I am not it's best fan. I LOVE eating healthy now, and I guess I do realize that many days wind up kind of Fast Tracky. I just can't do it every day. I just crave a piece of toast or wheat tortilla from time to time.

This is a picture of my lunch today:
A cauliflower crust pizza. It came out so BEAUTIFUL, I just had to take a picture and show you. I made it directly on non-stick foil in the oven and put turkey pepperoni and mushrooms on top. I only ate 1/2 so now I have the rest for tomorrow in the fridge.

Boy there are some days when I am so glad I have my 2 dogs. They are such good company and most of the time I feel like they are my only friends. Mandy the black one is a very good listener. When I talk to her - her ears go up and she tilts her head a bit and it really seems like she understands. They are always very eager to walk with me every day and love to socialize with me to the neighbors and any other canine friends we see on the way.

They are really not possessed or anything, the eyes do that in most pictures. :-)

Today my snack was a smashed up avocado w/some jalapenos cut up and some sea salt w/celery.

Dinner: 8 asparagus w/chicken.

Someone left an anonymous comment:
Does anyone know of a stevia hot cocoa mix or an easy recipe?

Answer:
I would use some unsweetened almond breeze, it even comes in chocolate- but if you just have the regular, add some unsweetened cocoa chocolate powder and truvia or what ever kind of stevia you like, warm and add some RediWhip on top......

Well another Fast Tracky day for me. I will probably have some decaf tea and 2 squares of 86% chocolate and RediWhip later.

I hope everyone had a great day. Please don't forget to visit and join my friends blogs on the list below. Don't be shy, leave comments. If you don't how can we all support each other.

Thanks for listening. Lots of love to you all. WWRD??

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

Invest in Goodness

Goodness is the only investment that never fails.
Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  2. I used to have a Golden Retriever named, Mandy! She was so sweet and a great listener and cuddler :) It must be the name! :) Dogs are the best! They love you unconditionally and look at youlike you're a RockStar! It may sound weird, but my guinea pigs do that too! Who wouldve thought guinea pigs would be so sweet and cuddly!

  3. That is one beautiful pizza-
...and I do think dogs may speak some sort of English. They completely understand. Our dog Max does-I'm sure.

  4. Wow. Gorgeous pizza. I have yet to try that. Another "to do"! I love my doggies too, but sometimes they are a pain in the butt, like now when they are wrestling and rough housing and won't let me be! They are still young, but like kids, the fun wrestling can turn at any minute, and then I have to break it up! Hugs to you from me.
P.S. I saw on facebook someone recommended you should start up a dog walking business. You know that's a great idea. My neighbors sister in law makes alot of money doing that, and sometimes she will dog sit at her house while her customers are on vacation. You like to walk, and you like dogs, so a perfect combination. I know as someone who has always been a stay at home mom, and now I have to go into the office alot, I really rely on my dad to come over and let me dogs out. Think about it!

  5. YOur dogs are adorable! I have a giant golden retriever who is not only smart but very hansome too! The pizza looks good but me + cauliflower anymore are not a good combination. It just doesnt agree with my digestive system & the gas pains are unbearable at times so I cant go there.
Have a great day & welcome to my world...It is cold here too!

  6. Pattie's idea is great about the dog walking and sitting! My 14 yr old walks out neighbors dog everyday and makes $15/hr. She also dog-sits a lot of the neighbor dogs when they are out of town. It's easy and you do it on your own schedule. I may need to quit my job and steal hers! LOL! I need to make the cauliflower pizza again, but use beano this time. :)

  7. Ha Ha, Rosy, glad you are finally admitting there's nothing wrong with going without grains. :) It feels better when I don't eat at least wheat, but I'm not willing to say I'm off them for good, either. Have a good day.

  8. Hey Rosalie, I was informed that the link to my blog on your website takes our friends to my old blog that has been disconnected. Can you fix it for me please? I would like to reconnect with everybody! Thanks sweetie!

  9. Cauliflower pizza is one of my favorites! I think I might like it better than my pita pizza except that it takes more time to prepare. I love your dogs! My two keep me company all day too - wherever I go, they go. But I like it that way!

  10. I'm afraid to try the cauliflower crust. I'm afraid it would not be right and then I'd be discouraged from trying again. But this looks amazing.
I love my 2 dogs. They keep me sane!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
