Take the Shot People....

Hello My Friends,

Since I have been home and finally feeling better, I realize that mother's cupboard are bare as heck. I actually had no eggs or turkey bacon left for this morning. I feel weird.

I had some oatmeal w/a spoon of pumpkin I had in the fridge ( I think Dawn does that) and peanut butter, walnuts, chia seeds, and ground flaxseed, and truvia. It was just a bit of each for extra fiber. It was very good - however it is not the same as eating a breakfast with protein. Maybe if I had the bacon and berries (which I am out of) with it.

I feel like something is missing and I don't feel satisfied at all. I think I feel way better eating eggs and turkey bacon. I love the way the protein in the morning makes me feel. I am definitely gonna head over to the store right now as soon as I am finished here.

I really appreciate all the nice and supportive comments that I always get from all of you. I really have to say that by starting this blog way last year after I started the BFC, was the best thing I could have ever done for my weight loss progress.

It really does make a difference, putting it all out there. The good and the bad days. You really must be honest and let others help and support you who are doing the same thing. They really DO GET IT!!

Yesterday I was reading back on some of my earlier posts. Funny, seeing how I was feeling in the beginning and thru the process of my weight loss.

I know we are all different. I know that my weight loss progress might not reflect what is happening to you at the moment. But I just want to say that I am here to support and help anyone who needs and wants it.

If I Can Do This - YOU Can Do This Too!!!! Believe that you can! Don't set too high goals for yourself. Just let it happen the way it is supposed to. My weight came off slow and like a Yo-Yo at times.

But the main reason I was successful is because:

I NEVER GAVE UP....I NEVER QUIT....

Thanks for listening to me today. Lots of love to you all. Remember WWRD?

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

Take The Shot

Take the Shot Positive QuoteI've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and I missed. I’ve failed over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed. Micheal Jordan

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  3. Thanks Rosy for reminding us to hang in there-and it really is a process. This journey looks different for me each day, and I just keep learning things about myself
I agree, the blogging support is so valuable. For me, just as important as any other aspect.
    Have a good day...glad you're feeling better.

  4. I totally understand about missing your protein in breakfast makes you feel like you are missing something...I ran out of sausage patties for my breakfast burritos and was eating them with just cheese and veggies....they tasted fine but my tummy kept telling me there should be more...lol. I finally got some yesterday and ate a nice burrito this morning and feel just perfect. :)

  5. I agree with you and Randi. I missed my bacon this morning because I was rushed to get the kids to school and to get to work. I didn't feel satisfied, but I held out until lunch because I didn't have time to stop and eat :) I love your quote today :)

  6. I get in the mood where I just don't want to eat the eggs or bacon or whatever. Those days I'm happy with my bowl of oats. With the nut butter and chia seeds, there is plenty of protein in there, and way more fiber, so the fiber fills me up.

  7. I like protein for breakfast too. It's just not the same without my eggs. I always try and remember you saying...never give up, never quit. It's what keeps me going most days. Love 'ya, and sending big hugs from me to you!!

  8. I am a jimmy dean microwave sausage patty convert. I agree protein helps me stay full way longer. I am kind of sick of eggs, hopefully I can get past it. There are a lot of fun ideas out there for baked eggs.
I hope you got to the store and refilled your cupboards! It's funny because in the past on a night like tonight, that nothing sounded good, I would have gone to get burgers or a pizza. I have come a long way!

  9. What works for me is to do oatmeal before my workout and eggs after.

You are so right on with the importance of being real and letting others know...your success and struggles. The best way to find success is to help another achieve it!

Thank you for all your support.

  10. Hope that "Mother Rosies" cupboards arent empty anymore. I hate it when I am out of my essentials. I love turkey bacon for breakfast too! I usually eat 2 slices of Trader Joes sprouted wheat bread & 2 slices of turkey bacon & choc unsweetened almond milk pretty much every day for breakfast. Its portable & I can eat it on the go in my commute to work. I need to get up earlier, but heck I already get up 2 hrs before I go in to work & Im STILL always flyin by the seat of my pants to get there on time! lol.
You always give me hope that I can ddo this & I love your blog....and you!
    Have a wonderful day!!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
