Confused and bewildered....

Good Morning Friends,

Well I am happy to report that after 2 weeks I am finally not coughing my guts out any more. I was feeling way better and then I went to help with the move and I got worse again. I'd say this morning about 85%, so not bad huh?

I just had a great breakfast:
onions, mushrooms, baby spinach, shredded beef, cheese, and 3 eggs split in half w/hubby. And 2 muffins I had left- 1 lemon and 1 pumpkin.

I did make a new batch of chocolate-walnut-maple coconut muffins yesterday and put some of the sugar free chocolate chips on top of 4 each. Good!

Hubby is working nights the past 3 days and he got home in the morning and offered to go somewhere with me. So around 11:30 I said I am hungry lets go to lunch. We went to Chipotle. I love salads at that place. I had a salad w/carnitas (pork), black beans, tiny bit of sour cream, cheese, spicy salsa, and guacamole. Yum.

Then it was such a beautiful day I said lets walk around. Chipotle is at this shopping area called "The Shops" in Chino Hills. It's outside higher end stores. We walked around and I wound up in the store called White/Black. Do you know it? Women's clothing kind of expensive.

I remember going in there a year ago looking for a dress for my little sis's wedding - remember? I remember fitting into a size 12 and being so excited at that time.

So I told the girl about how I lost 90lbs on the BFC (of course) I tell everybody. I told her how all my 10 jeans are way too big now and she said do you want to try some on? I said sure, do your jeans run small or normal? She said kind of small, so I said bring 6's and I might need 8's then.

I tried on the 6 and showed hubby and the waist was way too big, so she said maybe you need a 4? I was like- HUH?? ME? NO WAY!!!! Well I am kind of embarrassed to say that I bought a pair of jeans in size 4.  I feel so weird about that I don't even know what to say. Kind of confused and bewildered. I don't know if 4 is good or too small.

Hubby keeps telling me that I look good and not too skinny, so I guess I am OK.

That just goes to show you that we are all different and even though I weigh between 145-150, my size is getting small. I need to exercise though, I feel a little soft in some areas.

    You are tall girl....you are tall and you are skinny!
    90 lbs is a lot of weight to lose, especially without any fad product or diet program. You are living a lifestyle that you love and doesn't keep you from life.

  2. Don't be embarrassed - I'm sure you look great! I think that's what's so great about eating this way - the fat is coming off in the areas that we need it. I am still at my high weight, but my waist is still at my good 30 inches, so there you go. I think a post about that is on the horizon... It's NOT all about the weight. And you still look curvy, so you are NOT getting too skinny. That's a sign right there, don't you think?

  3. Wow, size 4!! That is movie star small! I have never bought from the store you talked about. If it's the one I know of, I think it is called White House/ Black Market. They got real popular after Michelle Obama was on a TV show wearing one of their dresses. I am proud of you...little size 4 Rosalie! Hugs from me to you!

  5. That's great! Just remember, though, the number on a tag is just a number, not an indication of your actual size. The right size is the size where you feel "right" in your own skin.

  6. Wear that size 4 as a badge of honor. You look great in your pictures so I wouldn't worry about the size. If your face starts to look hollow or gaunt, that's when you worry! :) Hubby likes it and he's what matters!

  8. Ok Rosie, are you SERIOUSLY feeling bad about a size 4??? I would hack off my right arm,shave my head & pull all of my teeth to be a size 4!!! And in case you didnt know, the above 3 parts of my body are the most needed & most important to me so that tells you alot. lol. BE PROUD & wear those size 4s INSIDE OUT with the tag showing!!!!! Heaven knows, I would!!!! lol.
    You look fab & hubby looks pretty happy being sandwiched in between his 2 favorite girls!

  9. Good grief Rosalie - a size 4! I can't even imagine. I'm still at the stage where I'm excited getting into my twelves! I don't think you look too skinny though, you look just right! I love the pictures of your family! Everyone looks so happy in them, it must have been a good day!

  12. I think as you live in your body at this smaller weight, it really changes. Mine seemed to tighten up, or move around. I dont know, but after 18 mnths of maintaining it changes somehow. Congrats on the 4s! That is TINY!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
