Year 2, Saturday wk 8 on the Belly Fat Cure

Good Morning All,


It's gonna rain over here in southern California this weekend. So I am sure that the weather everywhere else is going to be great!


There has been many new people that have joined my blog in the past week. First of all I would like to say welcome to our little Team BFC Club!!!

I am in week 2 of my "cure"! I have hit the "need fiber" hump!


In the past year or so of me doing the Belly Fat Cure, I have noticed that at least half of us do experience the #2 problem. I have read many comments about that. I have tried many different things for constipation. 
These are what I have found to work best for me.
I use Clear Benefiber is my morning coffee (on the products tab)
In the afternoon I use 1 scoop of Super Seed mixed w/a cup of water. (on the products tab and the Amazon.com widget above) You must drink this fast, it does get thick quick. Tastes great made with seeds and legumes.


Yesterday I ate:
breakfast; 2 eggs, 2 slices of Oasis bread (on the products tab), w/butter and peanut butter, 1/2 avocado, 2 turkey bacon, 8 blackberries, coffee w/clear benefiber, truvia, powdered cream, cinnamon, 
this is a list of the vitamins I take every morning:
I take a multi for women over 50
2 calcium w/vitamin D
1 fish oil
1 evening primrose oil
1 in morning and 1 at night of black cohash
2 probiotics - Natural Factors, acidopholus and bifidus 10 billion  (on the products tab)

and 2 Reslina every morning It has Resveratrol and Spirulina in it and is very healthy for you. There is a link above  w/a code for $8 off, if you want to try.



Lunch; we went to the movies again, so I had some turkey lunch meat  w/string cheese in the middle and wrapped it up in plastic and put it in my purse, then had some popcorn w/o butter at the movie.

dinner; I had a spinach salad w/feta cheese, bacon bits, white tuna fish, raw zuchinni and mushrooms cut up w/ some mayo. and a cup of decaf chocolate tea (on the products tab) later in the evening.


I have been actually been having my nails done now for the first time so long - I can't even remember. I decided that I wanted to look like I feel, well at least my fingers and toes. The first time they were pink like in my previous pics of my new shoes. Today I did something weird.
I've seen lots of other people do this with colors - so.........what do you think? Weird Huh?

I am so excited to see the results of my blood tests. So awesome!! During the past year or so I have eaten eggs at least 5 times a week. Many people think the way we eat, eggs, cheese, meat, no fruit, is not healthy. So I am living proof - that this is healthy for you!! If you didn't get to see it, I posted my test results on the previous post.

  1. Hello to new bfc friends!!!! I just wanted to share my 2 cents concerning fiber, since doing the bfc I have had to take fiber supplements to keep regular, at first I felt like I was doing something wrong because I wasn't getting enough fiber from foods, and I eat a lot of salad. Now I feel fine about taking supplements.

    I like the clear benefiber, I have also tried the target brand of benefiber and personally I don't think it worked as well for me.

    I also take physllium whole husks in water, I know the texture is gross but it is affordable and I'm willin to bite the bullet to stay regular.

    I have also used the super seed and I like it, and I will use it again probably when I order some things off of amazon.

    I hope you find encouragement from Rosalie's blog, she is amazing and is very helpful. A bunch of us also have bfc blogs if you want to check us out. I think a big key to success doing the bfc is the community that the blogs provide. Without my bfc friends I know I would have quit by now. I hope everyone has a nice saturday.

  2. Rosalie, Love the nails I use to get my done all the time but have not in some time. I am sure you shoes will look great now with the toes all done.

    As far as the fiber goes....It may not work for everyone. I have had #2 problems all my life and the doctor told me that some people are just that way. The more fiber I eat the more bloated I get and my stomach turns and turns. I take it because it is good for me but I sure wish it worked on me like most people.

  4. Well I may be wrong in this, but I bought the Metamucil capsules that have the physllium in them. I am not sure I could gag down a thick liquid? We'll see:) Thanks for all of the good information! Down 6.2 today:)

  6. Hey Girl! Good for you for getting your nails done!! I started getting my natural nails overlayed w/ a thin layer of acrylic again in Dec and I love it! I always get a French manicure w/ white tips. Cant wear colored polish where I work being a nurse. your nails look awesome!! BTW, what color did you have on your toes before you got this last pedi? It looked like a raspberry color and I am a polish kind of girl for my toes. I love any shades of pink, especially bright & hot pink! Its a must if you are gonna wear sandals!!
    Oh, and I saw you commented on my blog about getting first dibs on running your hair through Matthew McConaugheys fabulous curly hair...I dont think so sister!! Im not sharing when I get that opportunity....(like I would ever get that opportunity!!! lol) One can only dream............ (sigh) I am jealous of that chick hes with now....lucky girl!!!!!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
