Year 2, Monday starting wk 9 on the Belly Fat Cure

Good Morning to all,

Well it was raining most of yesterday and last night over here in Southern California. I hope everyone had a good weekend, and if not - tomorrow is another day - right?

Yesterday in the morning I made myself breakfast of French Toast made with 2 oasis bread (on the products tab), I used 1 egg, unsweetened vanilla almond breeze and some cinnamon. And of course I used Josephs sugar free syrup. It contains Malitol and ALWAYS makes my tummy gurgle, but its worth it cause it tastes good. I also had 2 sausage patties and a glass of unsweetened vanilla almond breeze, my coffee blah, blah, blah.

Then I went to visit my son, Aaron who is 26. He lives in Laguna Nigel and recently got his first apartment. He will never visit me so I went to visit him. It's a difficult relationship and too long to explain but we had a nice visit.

We went out to lunch at Carrows and I just had a salad with some chicken on top with some Italian dressing on the side. Not enough food actually cause my tummy was still gurgling.

So when I got home it was around 3pm and I needed a snack bad. So I had some cheese, walnuts, and some veggie straws that were loft over dipped in a little bit of sour cream. Yeah - now I felt better.

Then later I made some stir fry veggies w/ tofu and curry and braggs, and some RediWhip and 2 squares of Lindt 85% dark chocolate for desert.

Couldn't walk because of the rain, so I watched this movie on Netflix called Mother. It was a Japanese horror film with subtitles. I love to watch foreign films. They are made so differently than american movies.

Change of subject:

I want to talk about our skin and how it is effected while we lose weight. All the people that I meet always say how great my skin looks after loosing so much. especially my face and neck and arms. I guess when some lose a lot like I did you really see it in the neck. But not mine!!

I wanted to share what I did to allow my skin to not look so flabby.
I always use a good moisturizer and eye cream. and I put the moisturizer down my neck every day.
I use lotion all over my body after showering every day.
I never lay in the sun any more, but I do get some sun while walking each day.
Of course drink lots of water and take my vitamins every day. Reslina is supposed to help with anti-aging, so maybe that has helped also. (there is a coupon code above for $8 off a bottle if yo want to try).

I have noticed that my thighs and butt are still a little flabby, and I know - I know, I am supposed to exercise to get rid of that - right? But lets face it, when a woman is almost 250lbs, do you actually think she ever exercised to get that way?

Uh....Nope. And lets face it - I am 52 after all. Not an excuse but I just don't like to exercise, I guess. I know I said it before, But I really am gonna try to use that Active 2 personal trainer game that I got for my Wii. For Real - Uh Huh, Yup. OK well - maybe.  Haha.

Well I hope you all have a great start to your week. Congrats to all of you losers this week.

Don't forget to support all of my BFC's friends blogs on the list below.

Thanks for listening. Los of love to all. Please leave your comments.

My thought for the day:

Friends are those rare people who ask how you are and then wait to hear the answer.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. Well I am glad you got to visit with your son. :) Your french toast sounds yummy. I need to make that as soon as I order some sugar free syrup. I understand about the working out...I always say today I am going to start and it doesn't ever get accomplished. I can do the walking, so that is what I stick to for now. But I do know the shape up shoes help a lot. I think I remember you saying you have those. If you walk right with them since they sorta rock...the back of your legs and butt will start to hurt from being worked out. Mine has lately. hehe!!

  2. Hi Rosalie...wow i can't believe all the newcomers, good for them, it's the way to go!! One question...do you buy the Benefiber brand or do you buy the generic. I bought the Target brand and i can taste sweetness and i've noticed some gain in my waste, i'm freaking out!!! Could this be my problem, anyone else have this problem! The only other thing i've changed is i use a little oat flour in some of my desserts but that's it. I also don't know if this has to do with my hysterectomy in Janurary, i still have my ovaries, i don't get a period but the doctor said i still release an egg and can still have pms(uggggg) So maybe it's my time of the month??? I just don't know. I am bloated and have sore breasts(prob. TMI). Any advice? Thanks so much!!

  3. Well Sherri I buy the clear Benefiber. I get it from Sam's club - it cheaper. You really have to look at the label of everything we buy to make sure how much s/c it has and to make sure it doesn't contain any artificial sweeteners also. You know I am going thru the same kind of thin with my peri-menopause.
But I have developed a kind of routine with my food. It works for me. I eat at home a lot, but when I eat out - I am careful now a days.
The only deserts I eat usually is, RediWhip, 85% dark chocolate, clemmys (sometimes). Thats really about it.
Try the clear Benefiber twice a day and see if that will help you. :-)

  4. Hey Rosalie! Oh I do love French toast for sure!! I make mine with ezekial bread or TJs sprouted wheat bread and egg beaters, vanilla & cinnamon & almond milk. It is yummy and a great treat! Might have to make some on Wed (my day off). Work days are too hectic to fuss. I usually do something that is grab & go like toast & a couple slices of lowfat american cheeses (from the deli. 0/0 S/C and delish!)
Glad you had a good visit with your son. As far as exercise goes, when you get in the groove of it and do it every day, you find that you look forward to it and start missing it after a while. Find something that you like to do and start there. I like the Leslie Sansone walking tapes. They arent hard if you arent coordinated because she only has 4 basic moves and if you can get past her goofiness, its a great workout! She has a 1 mile, 2 mile & 3 mile walk tape. Ranges from 15-45 mins depending on what level you do. Its a 3 pack DVD. Worth the $.
Have a great day tomorrow! I am working all day, then going to get my nails done, then I get to come home & hopefully relax.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
