Saturday of week 44: The Belly Fat Cure

Good Saturday to all,

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and didn't eat too much. I didn't eat too much, but did take a few bites of things that I normally wouldn't have. You know I usually never eat carbs with dinner.

I had some turkey, gravy, a little stuffing, greens, green beans, and a little yams, red wine. Everyone I see lately that hasn't seen me in a while is very surprised at how I look now. I have to admit it does make me feel good.

I feel like - the more I lose, the more faults I find in myself. When I have my small jeans on I look at myself in the mirror and say "Wow is that really me?"
Then when I take them off, I notice all the fat that is left on my thighs and butt. Kind of jiggly. I know, I know, this is when we are supposed to exercise and then look perfect right?

My whole point is that no matter how much we try to look and feel better about ourselves, we will always find more faults. So we should really try not to be so hard on ourselves, and try to accept us the way we are.

How is everyone doing on our year end goals? I know its coming up so soon, and no matter how close or far we come from it, it is still an accomplishment. I set the goal for myself of 150lbs, but I think I might only get to 160lbs. I am so jazzed about that! When I reach that amount I will have lost 78lbs in 11 months!

What a FEAT right?  Hey, if I can do it - YOU can TOO!!

Thanks for listening. Love to all of my BFC friends. Please leave your comments.

My thought of the day:

When a gifted team dedicates itself to unselfish trust and combines instinct with boldness and effort, it is ready to climb.

This is like us; Team BFC Club....

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  2. Hey Rosalie! Great post! Glad you enjoyed your thanksgiving dinner & time with family. My goal was 192 by the end of the year but with Dec just around the corner, I have decided that hitting the 190s (any number in the 190'5..like even 199.8) will make me a happy girl. I havent been in the 190s for over 6 yrs. WHEN I get into the 190s by the end of the year, I will be at 18+ #s lost!! (tracking that number since my highest weight this yr of 218.5! yikes) That will be a great accomplishment & I will be thrilled with that #!!! Something to work toward....
    Have a wonderful weekend!

  3. Rosalie it looks like we survived another holiday huh? I know what you mean that we always seem to never be happy with ourselves no matter what we do. Why is that? I just think we have to remind ourselves that we are beautiful inside and out and that we love ourselves.

  4. 78 pounds lost - that the size of a 7th grader! It always helps me to visualize... it's an amazing number to have already hit! We're super proud of you! I might not make my goal either but I'm not going down without a fight to the finish (my original (true) goal is in March) my other goal is for the end of the year. Can you put me at 167lb. 12 lb. to go... Thanks we can do it!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
