Saturday of week 42: The Belly Fat Cure

Hello All,

I was a little busy yesterday and didn't have time to post. I had to go to the city hall to take care of some business and then to he doctors, then some errands, then home, then more errands.

Yesterday I ate:
breakfast;
1 pkg of instant plain oatmeal w/truvia unsweetened almond breeze, walnuts and some blackberries. Yum! and coffee, blah, blah, blah.
We ate lunch at this Chinese buffet yesterday. I picked some stuff that had the least amount of sauce and sweet stuff on it.
dinner;
chicken and veggies from the Magic Wok, and 2 squares of Lindt 85% dark chocolate.

I am down in my weight yesterday and today, but I'm not gonna get that excited about it cause my weigh-in day is Monday. I still have today and tomorrow to get thru - so that might change.

Today I have to go to a baby shower for a friend, and I really want to go see that movie about the aliens that try to take over the world. "Skyline" you know I love scary or sci-fi movies. And I always eat popcorn when I go to the movies. That is the one indulgence that I will not give up. I just make sure to skip my carbs with lunch when I go and no butter for me.

I still feel the effects of my hormones changing. I am real moody lately and get angry very easily. I am not sure how to really handle this. I am not gonna take any hormones! My doctor suggested that I start taking estroven. So I will get some the next time I go to sams club.

From reading all the other blogs from the past few days, I feel so excited for all of you. I remember when I wore my size 18's and some 20's and they were always so tight. I had to keep the top button open and I would wear a shirt that would cover it. They would still be too tight and my tummy would go over.

Now I am wearing a size 12 and they are getting big too. I feel great!

You all deserve to look and feel GREAT! So keep doing the Belly Fat Cure.
Don't give up! Don't cheat! You Can Do It!

I too (like some of you) think a conference call is a great idea. I call people on the phone all the time. It's how I make new friends and help as many as I can. We all need some support while doing this. So don't forget to support all of my friend's blogs on the list below.

Have a great weekend! But don't eat too much! LOL!

Thanks for listening. Love to all of my BFC friends. Please leave your comments.

My thought for the day.:

We don’t see the things the way they are. We see things the way WE are.
Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. It's not on the menu usually, but did you know that you can order your food steamed in Asian restaurants? I found this out when we went to a Chinese restaurant and I couldn't find anything on the menu to eat. I told the waitress about my dilemma, and she told me about being able to order my food steamed so that I could season it myself at the table. So now, I bring my gluten free soy sauce with me, order all my food steamed, and then season it when it gets to the table. I guess if you're after a sweet flavor you could always try sprinkling a little Truvia on your food as well. It couldn't hurt to try. Or, if you're willing, you could even make sugar free sweet and sour sauce at home and bring it with you to pour over your food. Actually, that's a good idea. I think I'll do that the next time we go out for Asian food.

    I know some people think it's weird to do that, or don't have the courage to do it, but it doesn't bother me at all. Restaurants have gotten so used to people on special diets bringing in their own stuff to supplement their meal with that they don't even think twice about it. They're just happy that you have found a way to still eat at their restaurant.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
