Monday Starting week 30: The Belly Fat Cure.

Well this morning I seem to be up by 2.5 lbs from last week. I feel bad about this, but I will not let this keep me down or distract me from my goal. Which is, to get to 150 lbs by the end of the year. It could be a number of reasons for this:

  1. It could have been that cauliflower pizza yesterday. It was very good, but all it did was gurgle my stomach all day. I'm gonna try it again next week to see for sure.
  2. I was without my afternoon fiber for almost a week and have been using psyllium w/my MRM protein powder for only 2 days now. I was trying to see if I really needed it. And I do! I barely went #2 when I wasn't taking it.
  3. I am under a tremendous amount of stress at home and am not that happy about the way things are going right now. My mood might be channeling right thru to my stomach.  LOL! well it could happen.
  4. This is the last thing I can think of. And I hope this is the reason. My new shoes (Shape-ups). I have been really focusing on making sure that I walk as long as I can every day. It makes me feel better and I just put on my music and try to forget about things. My legs and hips are very sore from all the rocking when I walk. So as they say.....Muscle is heavier than fat...Cross your fingers - this is the reason.
Well I had a smart and delicious tortilla w/cheese and 2 strips of turkey bacon for breakfast. With all my usual other stuff.

That's it for now. Thanks for listening. Love to all of my BFC friends. Please leave your comments.

My thought for the day:  Don't give up on your dream!
Good luck in all your BFC endeavors. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you reach your goal too.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. Don't forget about hormones, too - my weight fluctuates when I'm about to start my period. But that cauliflower pizza does seem like it would cause a lot of gas, so I could see that too. Keep up the good work!!

  2. I see that Jaimie beat me to it! I was going to mention hormones also. Even if you no longer have a monthly menses your body can still hold onto water once a month. (you can also feel the same moodiness resulting in elevated stress) Also...just hot weather can trigger excess water retention! Drink Drink Drink Water Water Water!!! You'll be fine!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
