HI Friends,
I feel I have had a productive and busy kind of day today. I started my day with breakfast of course.
2 slices of Oasis toast with my chocolate-hazelnut butter, eggs with cheese and berries.
I had a video call with Gina a new BFC ' r who wants to lose around 40lbs. I then decided to clean the house, both bathrooms - done, vacuumed the house - done, dusted - done, mopped - done.
Lunch was one of my bowl thingy's; baby spinach, brown rice, tuna, a couple spoons of alfredo sauce, a small tomato cut up and 1/2 avocado cut up - all mixed up.
Then me and the furry girls went for a 1.9 mile walk. It was a gorgeous 65 degree weather day and clear. You could see the mountains, which sometimes doesn't happen over here in southern Cali. LOL
Had a phone call with Missie who wants to lose about 60lbs. I really love sharing all I have learned with all of you to help in any way I can so that you can reach you weight loss goal too.
We also have a newbie Trish on here and she has a blog; http://doterralimandsassy.blogspot.com/
Please welcome everyone and give them any support they need.
Tomorrow is my 54th birthday. Hubby has still been working a ton of OT but has tomorrow off. I want to go to that Deli that Maria and I went to before on Fairfax in L.A. called Canters Deli. It is very old and tons of famous people have been there. Even Jorge has been there he posted before. I really want some Matzo Ball soup and some chopped liver on rye. And lets not forget the dill pickles. That is my Jewish side coming thru.
There are very few Delis left where you can get that kind of stuff any more. Worth the drive.
OK dinner time now maybe chicken and sauted zucchini. Thanks for listening to me as always.
This is PurpleRosy signing off...
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

Some tips if you are having trouble
- First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
- Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
- Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
- Make sure you drink lots of water.
- Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
- Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
- Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
- Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
I hope this helps.

ReplyDeleteHi Rosalie
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say "Thank you" for the time you took out of your Day to guide me to understand the BFC and also for baring with me while I tried to get my video chat together Im sorry It took that long. But it was well worth the trouble for me to be able to talk to someone like yourself who lives the BFC and is not just a ad in the books. Thanks again!!! And I am sure I will be chatting with you again after I read the book I ordered today. Also if I didnt say it today "Happy Early Birthday" to you!!!!! Gina
Rosalie, I hope that you have a wonderful birthday and enjoy every bite of your food:) I am so jealous of your weather!!! I think it is 20 here right now, but I'm not complaining because we have no snow!
ReplyDeleteThat Deli sounds great! Is it one of those old ones that cooks their own meats, slices it thin, and then piles it a mile high? Yum! Hope you have a really fun day out with your husband. Happy Birthday to you!

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday (and Happy New Year) Rosalie! It's sub zero here so I'm feeling pretty jealous of your nice weather. I just want to hibernate until spring. I love your bowl meals - I can't wait until I can make them all the time (when I don't have two picky kids to feed too).
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Rosalie!!! Hope you had a great birthday!
ReplyDeleteA Very Happy Birthday To You Sweet Rosalie. I am praying that 2013 finds you healthy AND happy. Oh ... Well rested too! :D
