Consistency

Good Morning Friends,

I want to talk about the importance of consistency.

Remember last Thursday I said Hubby and I went to our favorite place, Sycamore Inn and sat outside on the patio and had wine and appetizers? Well every time I do something different in my eating - I always wake up the next day 2 lbs heavier. YUP Every time!

When I go to the movies and I tell you that I eat popcorn - YUP - 2 lbs heavier the next day. Even though I tell you that I usually skip my lunch that day to make room for the popcorn.

Now usually I can shake those 2 lil dudes off in a couple days EASY...

About 2 weeks or so ago I ran out of the EXPENSIVE probiotics that I take every morning with all my other vitamins. I usually take 2. So I thought - maybe I don't need them.

I was wrong - - I have not been able to get those couple lbs back off and it has been a week. A few days ago I went and bought some more Probiotics again but I have only been taking 1 to try to save money.

Also many of you might see from facebook that I have been eating a lot of homemade healthy waffles and muffins instead of toast with eggs.

I seem to be having problems - BIG problems going #2 this past whole week because of all this.

I just want you to know that I am NOT Gluten Free... I DO eat wheat and don't think anything is wrong with it in moderation. From everything I have read, Being GLUTEN free will NOT help you to lose weight - if that's what you think it will do. Its for people that have allergies to the stuff or have Celliac disease.

So here's my conclusion - I went off what I normally have since I lost all this weight and got healthy, and it is NOT helping. This morning I took 2 of the probiotics again and I will go back to eating my toast maybe every other morning like I used to.

Well - anyways.... Gotta go to work. Have a great day. Lots of love and hugs to you all...

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  2. You are so right! I take a probiotic that I get at Costco, but I only take 1 a day. They are spendy creatures. They help a ton with a gassy tummy, so hubby doesn't mind the expense! Did you happen to catch Grey's Anatomy last night? I giggled! Have a great weekend!!!

  3. Thank you so much for writing this blog. The subject in this one is spot on true. I learned from you that the ONLY way any of us are going to lose weight AND keep it off is to find something that works for us for life. Diets that people go on and ultimately go off of spells disaster.
Have a Happy and Blessed Mom's Day dear friend! ():-)

  8. I take a Prebiotic and have been wanting to get a good Probiotic. I ordered the garden of Life 50 and Wiser ones and started them on Tues. Thanks for recommending them! I'd never heard of this brand. They sound like they will be great!

  9. I guess I should take a probiotic, but I haven't as yet because of the expense. Using flaxseed and chia seeds instead. So far....so good anyway. When I can afford the probiotic though, will certainly give it a try. Just hate to get started on something so expensive and not be able to keep it up. Taking only 1 per day though would help and the bottle would last longer!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
