Well Hi Folks,
I still have not slept at all but for some reason I am not as sad this morning. I think I am gonna go out and run a few errands today and enjoy the weather. Anyone wanna come along??
No more Wal-Mart for me here cause this one in Rancho where I live now SUCKS, but the good thing is that last week I went in to Target and It was just like a super Wal-Mart. So that will be my new cheap store now. I have to go in there today for some stuff and I plan on asking the Pharmacist if they know of anything non-addicting for me to take so I can sleep. Fine-I give up!!
I made a decision this morning that I really LOVE my Oasis bread and I will not subject myself to that NASTY Julian Bakery paleo bread anymore no matter how much it cost me. I'm gonna throw it away today so if anyone wants to try it before I 86-it, come get it today-its frozen. Let me know.
This is the last breakfast from yesterday of me eating that nasty bread. Even my hazelnut butter did not help it. I have been eating the egg whites I bought instead of regular eggs. I just wanted to try them. All though it is less calories and all I think I prefer the taste of regular eggs, but gotta use that up too.
I have been so drained and sad that I didn't even eat lunch yesterday which is not like me at all. You know how I always say to eat your 3 meals a day.
Finally around 4ish I made myself a zucchini crust pizza, put it in the microwave covered with a paper towel and took the girls for a 1.2 mile walk and ate it when I got back around 4:30
About an hour later I ate some So-Delicious sugar free mint chocolate chip ice cream. I love that kind but I have to microwave the container in the microwave for 15 seconds first cause it just gets way too hard to get out.
Hubby got home after 7:30pm and tried his best lately to make me feel better. I had some Caramel-Chai decaf tea and 2 of the cookies I made the other day.
This was my breakfast this morning. More egg whites with baby spinach, cheese 1/2 avocado and Oasis toast with my Chocolate-Hazelnut butter on top.
I feel withdrawals after I eat that butter. It is SOOO GOOD to me, the flavor and texture is the absolute best! I just can't seem to get enough and can't wait until tomorrow so I can have some more. Ha-ha :-)
Ok I'm gonna go have my second cup of coffee and go outside and face the world today. I think I might make me some Chocolate-cheesecake muffins later today.
Remember over a week ago Hubby and I went to see 2 houses in Rancho Cucamonga that we said we really liked?? One was a short sale and we put in an offer. They selected us to be the buyers so if everything goes well with the bank and negotiating, who knows we might have a home in 2-3 months or so. I'm not gonna hold my breath but we shall see.
Have a nice weekend and go outside and enjoy the weather.
This is PurpleRosy signing off...
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

Some tips if you are having trouble
- First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
- Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
- Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
- Make sure you drink lots of water.
- Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
- Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
- Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
- Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
I hope this helps.

I've been keeping up on all the posts Rosalie, but I have a hard time when I'm commenting on my ipad. It always freezes up. I just wanted you to know that I' keeping up and sorry that you are having a hard time. I kind of feel that way too sometimes. This time of the year can be tough if you have lost someone you love. Hang in there and hope the sleeping situation resolves. I don't have any advice on that end. I was going through that for awhile, but it has stopped and I am so glad because it can make you crazy when you can't sleep. Sending you love and hugs and hope all goes well with the house. XO
ReplyDeleteSorry about the sleep. You've probably already tried it, but melatonin is natural, cheap and low to no side effects. Also anything with this: Doxylamine Succinate Tablets, 25 mg, seems to work for people, it's over the counter and just an antihistamine. If those don't work 75 mg of Benadryl will make any grown person sleepy. Congratulations on the house. You guys have been through a lot with home purchasing (or lack thereof). Thanks for your daily posts. I always enjoy reading them and getting great ideas and I love your honesty. Like what you said about wheat. I sort of agree that it's not as bad as some make it out to be. I've chosen to eat wheat free, aside from a bite here or there, for the past 2 months to change my approach to food in general. It has worked for me but I imagine sometime in the future I will eat wheat again once I have a more balanced approach to nutrition.
ReplyDeleteI hope you sleep tonight! Good luck with the house. :)
ReplyDeleteI saw that you got some sleep aid and I think you did the right thing! A good nights sleep will really refresh you:) I'm glad you threw the bread away, it ain't worth it if it tastes nasty:)
ReplyDeleteToday was weigh day: 157. That's a 2 pound GAIN! Any tips, Rosy? I am thinking of following the sample menu in BFC to the letter for the next week, instead of improvising. I just read back a few posts and I see that you lost your son. I am so sorry! I am sure your interrupted sleep is part of your grief. Keep his pictures up as long as they comfort you. Grieving is still new to you right now. ((((hugs)))
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling a little better today. Some days are good and some days are not..I know. I think your chocolate hazelenut butter looks delicious! I'd like to try it but I can't find any hazelnuts anywhere. I'll keep looking. Let us know what the pharmacist says about the sleeping aid. I'd love to find something good to take.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're biting the bullet and going to try something to get some much needed sleep. The world is always easier to face when you've had needed rest. Best wishes there, as well as towards getting your house.
ReplyDeleteWHERE ARE YOU??????
ReplyDeleteHope you are OK
I have been searching everyone's blogs to find mention of you. Looked on face book too.
Missing you
Linda
Hey Rosalie...where are you? Are you okay?
ReplyDeleteHey Rosie? Where are you? It's not like you to go this long between posts! I hope you are just busy thinking about new house options and not about everyone's previous comments on your posts! Come back....We need your posts at this very crucial time of year....sorry about the selfishness in that comment, but I think posting is good for you too :) Any news on the sleep front? I have been taking valerian, but have been sleeping like shit! My husband asked about my new supplements (after keeping him awake with tossing and turning for the 4th night in a row) and I think they may be the prob, as they have B vitamins in them which may lead to an increase in energy.....we shall practice trial and error tonight without them! At this point, do what ya gotta do for sleep! Doesn't matter what you take as long as you SLEEP!!!!

Rosalie,
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry that you're not feeling well.....You've been through so much lately. I wish we lived closer to one another because I'd invite you over and we could take a walk and chat. Thank you for being such a support and encouragement to others (even when you're going through tough and sad times yourself). We all LOVE and appreciate you so much!! Kim
Where are you???
ReplyDeleteKaty
I've been watching for your posts all week (between endlessly cooking for my family party tomorrow - sheesh ... I'm not good at cooking for this many people). Anyway, everyone is missing you - hope everything is OK in your corner of the world :)
