There is NO STOPPING...

Hello Friends,

How is everyone's Monday going so far?? Mine was OK I guess. Started out with a good breakfast of course;
I ate 2 of my Sinful Cinnamon Cakes, 2 eggs with cheese, and some berries and coffee of course.
For me, my coffee was a little problem in the beginning. I wanted to use heavy creams and all the stuff Jorge always recommended, but couldn't get past all the calories and extra sugar in them, so I use the powdered coffee mate (plain), with Stevia and usually sprinkle some cinnamon in.

I had a video call with Francie who lives all the way in S. Carolina. Sandra was supposed to join us but was having problems - so maybe later on.

My lunch today was a sandwich made with Oasis bread, mayo, left over chicken from last night, cheese and tomato. Yum! (sorry no picture)

I cleaned both bathrooms, then changed the sheets on the guest bed and our bed. O that's enough of that for me. Can't do too much cleaning at once, I need something to do tomorrow too. LOL

So the other day someone made a comment that I would like to address:

From: LA Sitzman

  • How did you stay motivated to get all the way to 150? I am getting too comfortable where I am at now. I've got plenty more to lose but I'm digging my size 12 body so it's hard to get the momentum back. Why didn't you stop at like 180? We're you tempted?

For me once I started losing I just knew that I should always eat this way. I started to realize that I felt great and started looking pretty good too and there was nothing EVER that I was gonna do to mess this up!!

I was not gonna let anyone take me off my path. I was like a horse with those blinders on. You know those thingy's that only let them see straight.

I actually liked what I was eating and I was losing weight!! How crazy was that?? I cried when I fit into a size 14, and every size smaller I got from there I was always so surprised. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I could go from a size 18-20 to now fitting into a size 6 and I even have 3 pairs of size 4 jeans.

So to answer your question of why didn't I STOP??

There is NO STOPPING!! For me - There is no other way of eating. I will always eat like this because eating this way got me HERE, Where I am today.

If It Ain't BROKE - Don't Fix It

So which path do you want to be on??

Well I'm gonna go and enjoy this beautiful day and take my 3 furry girls for a 2 mile walk. Did you walk today??
I want to get back by 6 to watch another stupid debate. the last 2 were so horrible I hope this one is better.

Thanks for listening and lots of love to you all.

Please share this blog and all the others on my list with your fellow BFC 'rs. With support and sharing is how I got to where I am today.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. Wow thanks for the major response! I also feel fantastic eating this way it's just I seem to have been eating more for maintenance and not for weight loss. I've been stalled for a couple of weeks, need to refocus and try harder, need to cut out after 7pm snacks! Thanks again Rosalie, you inspire me everyday.

  2. I don't digg this eating style. But I've learned about myself i don't eat much or eat well. With that said, I'm down 30#s and have a lot more to go. If i didn't have to feed hubby...I'd be good with a liquid diet and i don't know what its going to take to fix my mindset. Sigh.

  3. I'm with you Rosalie!! I've NEVER done a “diet” (hate that word BTW) where I was actually more than satisfied with what I was eating. I mean ... I've had cheesecake for breakfast for gosh sakes ;) I eat ice cream (as long as no sugar) and cakes and cookies. The food is delicious and satisfying with all it’s fat (cheese, butter, you name it). I also know beyond a shadow of a doubt what Jorge teaches (and all the other low carb experts I've come to know) is TRUE. Once you understand how your body actually works, sticking to this eating is so much easier. With that said - you should NOT be afraid of fat girl ;) I use full fat whipping cream in my coffee everyday and I've still lost weight. As always, you are great inspiration! I rode my bike today with my two boys for 1 hour - it was great fun :)

  4. Such wonderful encouragement Rosalie! Again...thank you! It really helps to have someone root you on! I was so excited last night to share everything we talked about with my hubby! I even ate without him! Not as early as I would have liked but an hour earlier! Now I'll get on track with eating at a regular time instead of so late. Now to add some excercise(walking!) So glad to have found you!

  5. Rosalie, I just found you for the first time today through a you tube video. You really inspire me because we are the same age, starting weight just 2 pounds less than your starting weight, & I wear a tight size 18 like you did. I decided to join the group today because I need lots of encouragement. By the way, you look great! So my starting weight just 3 days ago...236/ goal 140

  6. I also use the heavy whipping cream in my coffee everyday! I love it and that is sometimes the only treat I need in the afternoon too. I seem to be stuck in size 12's now too and sometimes think I've gotten too comfortable that way.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
