Staying Busy Today

Good Morning Friends,

I feel a bit better this morning thanks to my Hubby. He has been taking time off work and making me go places even though I didn't want to and making me eat. But today he went back to work.

Lisa (sister) and Maria (step-mom) are taking me to the LA County Fair again today. I got zero sleep so I will be tired and need something to occupy my mind. When ever I sit around it seems to hit me.

This time I am gonna make sure to get a corn on the cob. That will be my once a year indulgence of corn and a turkey leg of course.

Since Hubby is not with us we will make sure to visit the animals. They always cheer me up.

Breakfast yesterday was Oasis toast with my homemade almond butter, turkey bacon and berries. Hubby asked me if that was enough food for me, but that's all I wanted. I can't eat eggs every day.

Lunch time he drug me out and after I said I was hungry. I said you better take advantage of it cause I'm actually asking for food this time - so we went to my favorite place...Chipotle

I had a salad w/carnitas, black beans, a little bit of each: grilled peppers and onions,  sour cream, cheese and guacamole and HOT salsa.
Dinner time I just had tuna, mayo, 1/2 avocado, 1/3 cucumber, small tomato and goat cheese all cut up in a bowl.
Desert: I found in the freezer some Pecan-shortbread-cookies I made a while ago and saved some pre-made wrapped in waxed paper in a baggie un-cooked. I thawed them out and baked them at 350 for about 10 min and they smelled so good and I ate 3 with some rediwhip in a bowl.
My breakfast this morning was a smart and delicious wheat tortilla w/cheese, 1/2 avocado, berries, and a small pc of left-over steak cut up w/baby spinach and cheese in my eggs.
You know I always share my meat and eggs with my dogs - that might be why I lost all this weight. LOL

Well don't tell hubby but I took out $200 from the ATM to go to the fair. Well it's $17 just to get in and parking is 12 unless Lisa pays. Then I need money for my turkey leg and corn and shopping of course.

Have a good day and I'll talk to you soon...

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
