Happy Labor Day...

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all managed to do something fun this long 3 day weekend. For me since I don't work, they all kind of seem the same. Except lately since the move. I have been trying to put the house together little by little.

So Saturday I got really tired of shoving RS thru the doggie door. She would actually put up her paws and try to stop me. Funny but not really. Very frustrating for me since I taught Peaches and Mandy in about 30 minutes at our other house. I guess they are smarter.

So there is a new dog show on NBC I think called Dogs in Manhattan, I think that's what its called about a dog trainer. He uses Turkey lunch-meat to reward and train dogs. So I broke out mine and brought the little rat in the office and closed the door and sat outside the door first with the turkey trying to get her to come out. I put it right near the crack in the outer edge of the flap and she would lick it and first then slowly a little more then poke her nose out and I let her take a tiny bite. Then I switched and put her outside and sat inside. It took me way over an hour of sitting on the floor and 3 slices of turkey but she can do it now - EUREKA!!
Saturday's Breakfast; oasis toast w/a little cottage cheese and natures hollow on top and 2 poached eggs.
Lunch was a turkey burger, green beans and a little re-fried beans

Dinner was a chicken patty and brussel sprouts
Sunday breakfast was oasis toast w/butter and the last bit of pumpkin hazelnut butter I made, eggs w/cheese and berries

We were out looking at cars for Hubby. He sold his to find a better economy one since we were gonna move out so far and then we didn't get the house. He has anger issues to say the least right now. And with my hormone problems I really don't know how to deal with it. He holds on to stuff and won't let go and move on. It's wearing me down. I just want to be happy.

But anyway he got a used Mini and we were at the dealer until after 3pm. I was or at least I felt starving and had a think thin bite in my purse and that tided me over until we could go eat something.
Lunch when we got done was after 3:30 ish and we stopped at Mky D's and I had a Angus-mushroom-swiss burger wrapped in lettuce.

The we dropped one car off at home and went to the movies at a theater real close to our new house near Haven and Foothill. We saw Premium Rush. The theater was so cheap we were pleasantly surprised, only $5 matinee and $7 regular and they had all the cheeses to put on the popcorn for free.

We got home around 7:30 and then a couple came over to buy our Futon I put the ad on Craigs-list. So no dinner for me, tried to go to bed early at 10 but still can't sleep worth a poot.
My breakfast this morning was eggs w/turkey bacon coked well and crumbled, a small pc of tomato that was left cut up, cheese and a tiny bit of onion, a little cottage cheese and some berries.

Notice the glass this time instead of bottled water?? Hubby finally got the proper fitting and hooked up the fridge water after 1 week - YEAH. That gets expensive.

We decided to go to the LA County Fair today. This is the opening weekend and its only $1 to get in from 10am-1pm. We got there around 10:30. I like to go into the buildings to shop but last year and this year they changed up things and half of it is gone and rides are in their place.

Hubby's brother who plays jazz was there selling some CD's so we visited with him for a little bit.
I bought this wine kit. It has a really cool opener, foil cutter, cork and aerator. We have no wine at the moment, but can't wait to try it out.

I still need to go shopping real bad, maybe tomorrow. In the meantime I am eating what I have left.

At the fair Hubby and I shared a turkey leg and some Blooomin onion. But hadn't had a bloomin onion in a very long time, and it was god but tasted SO GREASY. I'm not used to that I guess.

It is now 3:30 we got home from the fair early a little bit ago and He fell asleep on the floor and I am writing this. Well I guess I will maybe go and straighten up some of the boxes in the garage. Who knows maybe I can make it so we can fit at least 1 of our cars in there.

I will take pictures tomorrow maybe to post of the new place.

I wish you all lots of Hugs and Love.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

New Doors to Happiness

New Doors to Happiness Positive QuoteWhen one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us .

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. Chili's has a new item called Chipotle Chicken Fajitas and they have those crispy onion straws on top. The flavor of the chicken was incredible, but I could only eat a few of the onion straws.

I'm glad you go to go out and have some fun at the fair and the movies.

  2. Good job on training RS. I guess some humans and animals just need more time to understand. Sounds like you are settling in at your new place. Sending huge from me to you !

  3. Can't wait to see more pics. My youngest son is a huge Mini fan (you do mean Mini Cooper?). My SIL's brother has a Mini Countryman ... such a cute car.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
