Beautiful Saturday in Southern California

Yay, we haven't run the a/c all day.  It is beautiful here- I hope that means the extreme 105+ heat is gone for the year.

Today was a very lazy day.  I had a lot to do (laundry) but I just sat around instead.  I guess we all need a lazy day once in a while.

Since I didn't get pictures taken of my meals today, I decided to show you the greatest invention ever:

I eat eggs every morning and got tired of scrambled eggs.  I could not make a sunny side up egg to save my life, until I saw this little cutie at the store one day.  This little pan makes the perfect egg for me and it is so quick and easy.  Mmm, the runny yolk on my Oasis Flaxseed toast- YUM!

The hardest part of The Belly Fat Cure for me is getting enough fiber everyday, I really need to work on that because I notice that is the only way the weight consistently comes off.

Enjoy your evening!!!

Lisa

  1. I have noticed that fiber is super important for my weight loss as well. How does this pan help you make sunny side up eggs?

    1. I just crack the egg into the perfectly sized pan and it cooks a sunny side egg perfectly. All of my other pans are too big and when I would crack the egg, it would just run all and turn into a big mess.

  2. I have that exact little pan at my house! I didn't know there was a matching spatula! I got it in the beginning for my son to use for his egg. We hardly ever use it now though because we always make more than one egg.

    1. I love my pan. I would eat 2 eggs when I made scrambled eggs, now I just eat 1 egg and a piece of Oasis toast with almond butter.

  3. You are doing a great job as guest blogger Lisa. I like that little pan, although I usually eat two eggs at a time.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
