Hello, My name is Lisa Chapman and I will be guest blogging for Rosalie while she is moving. A little bit about myself: I have been married to a wonderful man for 10 years and we have a 7 year old son who is in 3rd grade and a 5 year old daughter who just started Kindergarten- they keep us very busy.
I had originally started The Belly Fat Cure back in 2010; however, I did it my way. Like everyone, I wanted to lose weight without giving up the things that I love. I controlled my carbs and sugar each day and still drank Diet Coke like it was going out of style. On top of the Diet Coke, I am embarassed to say how much Sweet N Low I consumed each day (it makes me sick to think about it now). I was able to lose 25-30 pounds and then I lost interest..I was still able to keep the weight off for the most part.
Fast forward to the summer of 2011 I had surgery with a very miserable recovery. Sitting around and feeling sorry for myself, I gained 40+ pounds over the course of 6 months. In Janurary of this year, after looking at Christmas pictures, I asked myself, "What are you doing to yourself? You know how to get the weight off and yet you're devouring a banana cream pie at 9:30 at night?"
Janurary 29, 2012 was my BFC re-start... only this time I am doing it the right way- NO ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS!!! And a lot of support from the blogs (I wish I knew about these back in 2010). To date I have lost 41 pounds and feel great.
Here is me before at 210lbs. (I can't believe I'm doing this):
I have lost the weight of a small child. My 41 pound daughter! |
Thanks for having me! Tomorrow I will give you a glimpse of what I eat on an average day.

ReplyDeleteWow- you have done super! We all have slip ups (well most of us) and to get back on track means so much! Thanks for sharing your successes!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your slip up. I am doing the same thing. I know what I should not eat but for some reason I just sit there and shove it in anyway and say oh well another day. What made you finally say say this is it. I sit around and look at what I have let my belly become everyday. I get so down and out but can't motivate myself to get it together!
ReplyDeleteLisa, I really enjoyed your post. Your before and after pictures are inspirational! I look forward to your next post that will talk about your foods!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing Lisa! I really appreciate you telling about the relapse and the role artificial sweeteners have played in your weight loss. You look beautiful!
