Not Much...

Hello all,

I really don't have much to talk about. Just the same thing every day. Don't work - so nothing to do - I stay at home mostly all the time cause I don't want to spend any money because of the house, we have to keep saving money for the down payment.

We did go to the movies Friday. I figure we can at least spend that. We hardly go out to eat - because, well we would rather eat at home now that we are so healthy. I bet we are saving a ton of money from that alone in the past 2 years.

Hubby got to work OT yesterday and today - so Woo-Hoo for that. He knows I am so lonely being alone all the time and said he will be home with me M-Th and I told him to stop threatening me. LOL

Here's what I've been eating:
Saturday breakfast;
 Saturday lunch; a cauliflower crust pizza.
 Saturday dinner was wings and broccoli and some brussel sprouts.

Remember the lemon cookies I made the other day? Well hubby said he thought they were a bit dry - so I made some homemade icing with; some cream cheese (maybe a couple ounces) warmed a bit in the microwave, 1 truvia, and some vanilla extract, mixed together and put on the remaining cookies and they were awesome and he loved them and ate 3 and I ate 2. and 2 left for today :-)
Sunday breakfast;
some of my pancakes w/ the left over icing on top - yum! , turkey bacon and some berries.
 Sunday lunch;
This sandwich was SOOOOOOOO GOOOD! I made a low carb bun- here: http://purplerosy.blogspot.com/p/almond-flour-pancakes.html
I added a bit of the nutritional yeast in the dough. I put avocado on one half and some hummus on the other side with a pc of cheese and 2 slices of turkey - with some veggie straws I got at Sprouts.

I'm tryin to pass the time by doing laundry and I'm watching Brides Maids on Max on TV. Love that movie every time I see it. Even if you are a hard ass that movie has got to make you laugh.

Have a great day and thanks for listening to me today.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

Control: Inside and Outside

I cannot always control what is going on around me but I can always control what I think about what is going on around me.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. I just know the reason that you are so successful is that you are always thinking of new things and new ideas or ways to eat the things that you love. Very impressive girlfriend!

  2. I don't think your post are boring. I love to see the food that you are eating and checking out your recipes. I stay at home a lot too. I do have my avon business that I have had for 25 years and it keeps me busy on some days but I have slowed down on building it up. I like being at home, though..I find plenty to do.

  3. It's funny, every time I go to the movie I think of you and your popcorn now. You always save room to have your popcorn.

  6. Bathroom scene is my favourite from that movie! I ate your pancakes this morning and they were yum! Second time I made them and they were better than the first so I must have perfected it ;) I consider it a challenge to find recipes that are belly good and try new things. The nice thing is since we are not counting calories (or worried about fat) most things taste pretty darn good.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
