I want to thank all my fellow pre-menopausal friends who left such nice comments on my last post. It really does help to know that I am not alone and not the only one that thinks she is going crazy at times.
I have been trying to get my Hubby to just Get-IT. It is so hard to try to get him to understand me and maybe what I am going thru at times. I try my best to explain how I feel and that just because I might seem angry, that it might not necessarily be something he actually did but that he probably just said something stupid to set my hormones off.
His answer is always that there should be some kind of pill right? But he says he will try harder to understand the difference. Who knows - hell might actually freeze over right??
We have had this $100 gift card for over a year now for Gold Class Cinema. Its a movie theater where they have premium seats that recline w/foot rest and they serve you gourmet food while you watch the movie. They even give you a Blanky and Pillow, How cool is that? Well the only one is in Pasadena and it 45 min away (in no traffic) and we just never had a chance to use it.
Well today is the day. Hubby and I are taking Maria and we are going to see Men in Black 3 in 3D. Each ticket was $29 so that leaves $13 whole dollars left for popcorn or food woo-hoo. I will let you know how it was after.
I do believe in a good breakfast so here's what I ate this morning;
I made some of my Almond/coconut/flaxseed pancakes yesterday and had 3 left for this morning w/the coconut butter-cinnamon-truvia-butter mixture on top and 1 hard boiled egg and turkey bacon and some berries. Of course the 3 dogs always get a bite each of my bacon and egg. I made sure to eat grain free this morning so I could have popcorn later. He-He.
I hope you all enjoy your weekend. The weather is supposed to be awesome over here like usual.
And no - the OWLS never go away and never stop. Every night right at 8:15pm they start and keep going all night bet 2-6 of them. I have been leaving the window open anyway for some fresh air and I sleep with the ceiling fan on and earplugs. It has been helping a tiny bit with the sweating thing.
Thanks for listening and big hugs to you all...
This is PurpleRosy signing off...
My thought for the day:
Doing What You Love

Wow, I've never heard of a movie theater like that. I hope you thoroughly enjoy the experience.
ReplyDeleteWe have a movie theater near us like that. No blankies or pillows, but they serve food ( burgers, and stuff like that)and wine and beer!! Whahooo!!! Haven't been there yet, but planning on going soon. Hugs! XO
ReplyDeleteRosalie, can you elaborate on the "coconut butter-cinnamon-truvia-butter mixture"? How do you make it (ratios of each)? Sounds YUM! I'm going to try your pancakes tomorrow morning with the new Nature's Hollow syrup I picked up today. I took a little taste and may like it better than Joseph's. We'll see :) I don't think we have any theatres in Canada like that but I think I heard of one in Buffalo, NY. I've been tempted to go while I'm there but I'm usually too busy shopping.
ReplyDeleteI pun in a cup to microwave: about 1 1/2 tb of the coconut butter I made, 1 tsp of butter, 1/2 pk of truvia, and sprinkle a bunch of cinnamon and nuke :-)
ReplyDeleteI love all things cinnamon so I'm going to try it - thanks.
DeleteThat theater sounds fantastic! I hope you have a great time.
ReplyDeleteI can't comment on your change of life, (my kids are still little), but when my husband said he didn't believe in post partum depression I could have socked him.
Oh it's real alright :)
DeleteThe pictures on facebook looked like you had a great time! How cool is that? My friend that visits her daughter in CA talked about a theater that the seats actually moved with all the action? She said it was spendy, but you felt like you were in the movie? Does that sound familiar?
ReplyDeleteBeing women - we really do have a lot of hormonal issues to deal with, don't we? Ugh! It's still a little early for me (I'm 44), but I do have nights, here and there, where I wake up in a sweat. My grandmother, mother, and sister all had hysterectomies in their 20's and 30's so I'm not sure when it would have started for them??
ReplyDeleteI really want to make those pancakes!!!! I have everything but the coconut flour - need to get my booty to the store and get some. Have a great day Rosalie!
Hubby and I are movie buff, ok, wait...hubby is. I love to go to movies. But that's all we do here. He hadn't had a civilian schedule for most of our 26 years together, so movies is his escape. This type of theater would be the bomb!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOn another note, after watching Dr Oz a few months back where he hailed a specific cinnamon...someone on his blog mentioned it had a tons of carbs. I looked it up and 1 teaspoon has almost 2 grams of carbs. Which makes me think about the wunnerful cinnamon cakes we love.!!!
