Here is a post that I made a while ago that might help for the new people:
Some Helpful Tips for the Newbies...
This will explain the sugar and carb thing:
- On the Belly Fat Cure or BFC you might see it referred to as, you are allowed to have no more than 15/6. = S/C S=sugar, C=Carbs
- That means 15 grams of sugar and 6 servings of carbs per day. (but you don't have to eat that much if you don't want to)
- 1 serving of carbs is no more than 20 grams.
- Make sure you never go over 5/2 per meal.
- So if you see 3/1 next to the food that means 3 sugars and 1 serving of carbs.
- Track ALL your s/c that you put in your mouth. Add everything from your meal together and count it that way.
No white stuff; That means no white bread, no white rice, no white pasta, no white four tortillas.
OK so I hope this stuff helps for the new people.
What I ate today:
Breakfast; A flaxseed muffin w/some walnuts inside and the coconut butter, real butter, truvia, and cinnamon mixture on top w/some blackberries, raspberries and blueberries. |
Lunch; a wheat carb chopper tortilla w/cheese, 2 slices of turkey bacon, 1 slice of turkey and avocado. I also had some veggie straws. |
It's 8:25 pm on Wednesday and we just felt a little earthquake over here. Everything is fine though.
I stayed home today again. It does get boring and hard to do sometimes. The past 4 days or so my right hip has been hurting me so my daily walks with the dogs have been short - just under 1 mile. I am kind of limping and not sure why. I am wondering if it is coming from my foot that I was supposed to have the operation on and radiating up my leg to my hip?? Not sure.
And OH yes - the owls are still screaming every night all night starting at 8:15pm. I wish they would move to another neighborhood already. YISH!! I sleep with earplugs and it seems to help.
Oh by the way I just love watching this new show called Dogs in The City about this guy who helps people train their dogs in New York.
Well that's it for now. I hope you all have a great day tomorrow. And big hugs for all of you.
This is PurpleRosy signing off...
My thought for the day:
Destiny
One’s past is not one’s destiny
Keep on BFC ' n :-)

Lady...take care of you. We need you! Come hang with me here (you wont want to go home!) I wish I could help with the owls.
ReplyDeleteI wish :-)
DeleteHi Rosalie! Thanks for the BFC guidelines reminder. Even those of us who "think we know what we're doing" could use a reminder every now and then. Heard about the earthquake. I grew up in Southern Caliornia and remember the Silmar earthquake in the early 70's (among several others). My parents still have their house their (in Seal Beach) so hoping you won't have alot of aftershocks. Stay safe. Darn those owls anyways!! My parents issue is possums. Not noisy, they just trip the light sensor so the light comes on outside their window ALL night long!! They could disconnect it but they don't. Glad to hear the earplugs are helping alittle. Have a great day Rosalie!
ReplyDeletePossums are funny. I had one in my yard around 15 years ago that I thought my dogs killed, That's what I learned the term: Playing Possum meant. LOL
DeleteIt's always good to remember the BFC basics because sometimes people seem to start straying away from them. Glad the earthquake was small and not a big deal. I wanted to watch that show about the dog trainer but didn't realize it had started. By the way when you have time you can change my weight to 159lbs - plus I changed my goal to 150lbs. I'm getting there!
ReplyDeleteGreat going Beth - I am so proud of you !!
DeleteGlad the earthquake was just a small one and you're okay. I had unexplained hip pain once and it ended up being because of low vitamin D. Something to keep in mind if you decide to go to the doctor for it. A simple blood test might reveal the answer.
ReplyDeleteI do take 2 calcium's w/vitamin D every day along with all my other vitamins.
DeleteThanks for the tips - it's helpful to see them grouped simple in one spot. Just a reminder that folks don't need to eat the 15/6 (some people think they do). It is a maximum and you certainly can eat less. Nothing you can do to move the owls eh? Frustrating ... Have a great day Rosalie!
ReplyDeleteYes I forgot to say that, I will add that thanks Trina.
DeleteI lived in CA for most of my life...I remember earth quakes! I'm glad you're safe.
ReplyDeleteHi ! Many thanks for all your help. Asample
ReplyDeleteFunny Rosalie, I have been having hip pain on and off for several months. I finally figured out one of the exercises I was doing was making it worse. It's settled down a bit, but still there. It really is uncomfortable at times. Thanks for the BFC reminders in a nutshell. I always like to keep pounding it in my head!! Hugs and love!
