Happy Father's Day...

Hello Friends,

First I want to wish a Happy Father's Day to all the Fathers out there. It's not an easy job sometimes. Both our dads are in heaven now and they are missed very much.

I want to thank our little bloggin community. You all Rock!! When ever any of us need a little pick-me-up, we are all there for each other. I appreciate you all more than you know.

If we stick together and keep on supporting each other - we CAN do it for sure!!

I have been hobbling around the past week, my right hip and leg really hurts. I am wondering why? It started in the side of my right hip and now its moved to the front and I can't seem to lift my leg up off the ground more than about 3 inches. I am hoping I just pulled something or layed on it wrong.

My weight is a bit better today I am 151 this morning so that's 1 lb down the past 2 days each and only 3 lbs over my regular weight.

Here's what I have been eating the past 2 days;
Friday Breakfast
Friday lunch was a smoothie w/MRM chocolate protein powder, a few berries, 2 tb of chia seeds,  USAM and ice
Snack was a handful of almonds.
Dinner was chicken breast and spinach salad and rediwhip for desert.
Saturday breakfast was my pancakes, turkey bacon and berries.
Saturday lunch was a bit more sugar than I normally would have eaten while I was losing, maybe 5/1.  1/2 pc of chicken breast cut up, 1/3 cucumber cut up, a small tomato, 1/3 avocado, goat cheese, bacon bits, and a few spoons of a 1 gm sugar dressing.

Saturday dinner was a spinach salad w/the other half of the chicken breast, avocado, bacon bits and goat cheese and spicy chipotle dressing.

I kept seeing Trina talk about these little snack that she has been making so I went to the store and got the stuff and made them.
This is what they look like when they are done.

I could not cut them as perfect as the girl on the video of the original recipe page because of my ET's but I did my best. I ate 2 of the real small squares and all the crumbs that were left on the counter. OOH-OOH Yum is all I can say. I'm pretty sure they are fattening as far as calories go - so I did not ever try to tally that. Too scared. LOL

So now I see why Trina panicked when she said she ran out..

Hubby and I might go see a movie today - so that means popcorn for me - YEAH! Then he has to go to work tonight.

I hope you all have a great day. Big Hugs to you all.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

Change Your Attitude

change your attitude positive quoteIf you don’t like something change it; if you can’t change it, change the way you think about it.

  1. Glad you liked them. I eat one almost everyday and I'm losing weight so the calories must not matter ... lol. According to MFP, each of my squares (I get 36) has 161 calories. I read some interesting facts about coconut oil which I'll try and post about - our bodies will not store it as fat. I find them so decadent that they really make me satisfied and I'm not dreaming about chocolate (as I would have been pre BFC). Also, the fat and protein in them keeps you feeling satiated. I really do love those little guys :) Have a great day and enjoy your movie!

    1. Hi Trina, can you tell me how much 3 scoops of the protein powder in tablespoons or cup size i need? I can't find the naturePro whey protein to look at the label. So, I thought to ask here. I'm intrigued.

    2. Hi Melody, the NaturePro scoop is 30 g (or what appears to be 3-1/2 tablespoons). Hope that helps :)

  2. {HUGS} It's good to hear from you! I've been worried about you and wondering how you are doing. You know we all want the BEST for you. I hope that you take care of yourself always, and in every way. I hope you are feeling better today. Enjoy your movie and popcorn. Are you going to see the doctor about your hip? If so, please request that he check your vitamin D level.

I really want to try those bars! They look like a good treat. I have to figure out how to make them without the nut flour though since I can't eat nuts.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
