Have a great weekend and don't let the Food Bullies get to you...

Good Morning Friends,

Well we are on a 3 day weekend now. Please try to remember that because we might be going out or to a BBQ - that we don't have to change what we normally eat. No fruity drinks and do like I do and just pick 1 thing that you really-really want and have 1-3 bites , then walk away. It's a good way to taste it and no get sick or have regrets after that you blew it.

I got an email from Micichick yesterday and she explained why she is not blogging anymore. It has nothing to do with anything any of us did or said. If you would like to know - email me, she doesn't want it on here.

Our walk-thru went great on Thursday. Everything looked so great and the builder was willing to hold the house for us until after July 20th - no problem. Now we just have to keep saving enough money to put down - YIKES.

Hubby has to work days Fri,Sat & Sun so I had a boring day yesterday. I think I will go and see that movie where the old people go to India today. It's called: The best exotic Marigold Hotel. The commercial looked good and I don't think its the kind of movie Hubby will like anyway.

Here's what I ate yesterday:
 Breakfast was my favorite kind of pancakes (1/4c almond flour and 1/4c flaxseed and 1 tb coconut flour) w/natures hollow on top, eggs and a few berries
lunch was quinoa w/a can of chicken, zucchini, onion, celery, mushrooms, and cumin, red pepper, chicken bullion and italian seasonings for flavor.

snack was 2 squares of 86% dark chocolate.

dinner was my good old stand by - wings and a spinach salad.

  1. So glad the walk through went well! Now go to the dollar movie or redbox and save save save....LOL! Anyhow, hope you enjoy the long weekend. I've been pretty bad this week on the healthy eating because of my birthday, but I will go strong starting tomorrow because I have one month to get ready for girls trip to Maui ;)

  2. I really do need to try the pancakes. I have my syrup, but I forget about making pancakes.
    That is so exciting for your home!
    If I lived close, I would go to a movie with you:) We finally saw The Avengers in 3D. I really, really liked it! Our theatre offers a child option for popcorn. It is a tiny soda cup and a small cardboard container for popcorn for 3.00! It is plenty of popcorn and soda! Love it!

  3. Good luck with the house, and thanks for the reminder to stay ONPLAN this weekend. I don't have any plans for parties, but it's always good to think of that during a holiday even while not going out.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
