Tramp Stamp...

Hello Everyone,

Well today was a day alright. I have been watching all the weeds grow around the back yard for a while now. Remember I fired the gardener a  couple months ago and have been doing everything myself. I don't mind, I kind of like it - Except the weed pulling.

So I started off with a good breakfast:
2 Oasis toast w/butter and 1 gm of sugar peanut butter and eggs w/sauted baby spinach and cheese.

I went outside to work on the weeds. We have a big long flower beds all around the back yard. I was out there until I couldn't bend over anymore and I was filthy and hungry. I did not realize it was 12:40, I started at 9ish after breakfast.

I only got halfway around the back - so that's something to look forward to. The Rest! So I went up to take shower #2 and after I pulled off my clothes - I looked in the mirror and realized I hurt myself. DUH! It was stupid!

I had my back turned to the sun. I thought I was outsmarting it. It was supposed to be 85 today that's why I started early and I figured I would poop out at 11. I gave myself a sunburn Tramp Stamp. As I was bent over pulling the weeds, I did not realize my shirt went up and about 4" was exposed to the sun. Boy am I dumb.

So for lunch; I had 4 slices of turkey pastrami and made 2 roll up w/cheese and some avocado. Then I went to the movies by myself. Hubby was at work day shift. I went to see the Artist to see what all the Hub-Bub was about. It was great - but a warning- you have to watch all the time. Remember silent! Now I see why the main guy won best actor. Oh yeah - PopCorn!

Oh yeah and did I say I was running up and down stairs all day doing laundry, which I had to finish when I got home.

dinner time:
sauted asparagus, mushrooms, and turkey medallions w/ some alfredo sauce for flavor.

desert I made a coconut flour minute muffin and put in some cocoa, 1 truvia, 1 egg, baking powder, and some coconut oil, and a bit of Unsweetened almond milk. Then I stuck in 2 squares of 99% chocolate that Carey gave me Saturday. It was OK - but was not sweet enough, maybe 2 truvia next time.

Well that's all for today. Thanks for listening and big hugs to all.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

Our Own Impatience

Other people can’t cause us to be impatient unless we let them do so. In other words, others don’t make us impatient. We make ourselves impatient, through our expectations and demands, fixated attachments and stuckness.
Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  7. Hello. I've been reading this blog for a little while now. I've had it in a few things I've bought like Zevia and I have been fine. I bought some of the liquid stevia b/c I saw a lot of recipes that people were using called for it. I tried a few drops in my coffee this morning and it was way too sweet so I kept diluting it down with more black coffee. Now (about 1.5 hours later) I have the WORST headache and I feel really nauseous. I feel terrible! Has anyone else experienced this? I have the packets too and I'm wondering if that is what I should have used instead. I'm scared to use it anymore.

    1. I don't like the liquid stevia at all Tiffany. I don't think I get a headache, though. ick!

Wish I had enough sun to get sunburned today. :)

  8. my question is about stevia. I'm not able to focus much right now and left out some stuff above

  9. Hi Tiffany, I use Truvia. I have tried many stevia sweeteners in the beginning but have found that I like that one the best.
I do have some of the flavored drops and use them sometimes. How much are you using? You only need a few drops. :-)

    1. Thanks for the reply. I felt so terrible, I even vomited. I'm feeling much better now. I think I accidently did use too much but to be cautious I think I'll stay away from the liquid stuff (which is a shame because it cost $15). I think I'll try the Stevia packets I have but in small doses.

I've been trying to comment on your blog for a while but my other computer doesn't cooperate with that.

I would like to join in with you ladies. I started almost two weeks ago. I started at 159.4 and lost 5.2 pounds the first week. My goal weight is 125.

I plan to start a blog so I will send you all the url when I get it set up.

  11. HAHAHAHa! Sunburn tramp stamp is funny! Sorry you are in pain from the sunburn, but the description cracked me up! I totally use my allergies as an excuse so I don't have to pull the weeds! If my husband argues about it, I say, "But I've done 4 yrs of allergy shots and take 3 allergy meds a day!!!" If he still gives me grief, I ask if he wants to pay for more allergy drugs! Ha! Money talk always gets him! I tried the Orange Zevia yesterday and it is soooo good! I think Grape and Orange are my favs! Enjoy this gorgeous weather. It was chilly at the beach this morning for my walk, but warmed up nicely in the afternoon! I had to take my daughter to Irvine (inland a bit) to the doctor and it was 84 degrees at 2:30. Love this weather :)

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
