Your Potential...

Hello Everyone,

I really don't have anything to say today. Every day is kind of the same when you don't work.

Here's what I ate yesterday;
breakfast;  4/1
I had 2 slices of toast made with Oasis bread w/butter, and cottage cheese and nature's hollow on top. This was even better to me than with cream cheese. And turkey bacon.

lunch; 1/1
I had breakfast for lunch. Eggs are great anytime, I say. I made a fritata w/3 eggs, sauted-mushrooms, onion, baby spinach and cheese on top and split it w/Hubby, and a whole grain tortilla w/cheese.

I went to Sam's Club, Wal-Mart and Sprouts yesterday for some groceries. Came home around 5pm and still had to take the dogs for a walk. Hubby thinks that making them go so far is too much. I said that they have fat tummies and just imagine how chubbie they would be if I didn't walk them LOL.

We went 2.4 miles and got home just before it got dark.

Made some buffalo wings and broccoli for dinner. and some RediWhip and 2 squares of dark chocolate for desert.

Today is colder for us over here, supposed to be 60ish. I know back east its probably snowing. SO I hope where ever you that you have a good day.

Thanks for listening and lots of love to you all.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

Potential

The potential of the average person is like a huge ocean unsailed, a new continent unexplored, a world of possibilities waiting to be released and channeled toward some great good.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. I saw your blog from yesterday (I think it was yesterday) and you had kimchi. You totally got me craving it so I went to Whole Foods and bought the spicy one! YUM! Wouldn't have even thought of it so thanks for the power of suggestion! Also, just bought the foam that Ashley Mae uses and that's a big YUM, too! It has absolutely no sugar and no carbs! Great find....a bit pricey, but everything at Whole Foods is a bit pricey :)

  3. I'm with Dawn! 60 would be really nice:) From your posts it looks like you only eat 3 carb servings a day? Is that just because you don't have the desire to eat more? Or that is your snacking carbs?
You have really done great in maintaining for so long. It is NOT easy to do!

    1. Well Girls, I've said it many times, you all come and visit anytime.
I guess I just don't need that many carbs anymore.
I usually have 1 with breakfast and 1 with lunch and the carbs from what ever else I eat.
You should see what I used to eat before. Boy it wasn't pretty. :-)

  5. Our temperatures dropped to 25 degrees overnight. Brrr. My son requested cauliflower pizza last night - I converted him! Also, I forgot to ask you to change my weight on the sidebar. I think its safe to put me at 164lbs now. Thanks Rosalie!

  6. Snow here too this morning...but it makes me so happy to visualize Rosalie out there with her dogs--everyday enjoying a walk-even if it 60. I think you're keeping your dogs with you longer by given them some exercise, they probably love it.
    Enjoy your day.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
