Sorry I've been MIA the past few days...

Hello Everyone,

I am sorry I have not posted the past few days but my computer's power cord took a dump so I ordered a new one on Ebay but it has not come yet. Right now I am using someone elses computer.

Saturday evening my younger sister Kattie and her annoying newish (1 year) husband came over from Las Vegas for a small visit for a few days. They are staying at my sister Lisa and step-mom Maris's house in Altadena.

So Sunday I went over there to hang out with them. I got there around 11am Of course I ate breakfast before I left.
So Kattie wanted to do all this stuff but they had like, no money. So we all wound up going to all places but to Ikea. I got these cute little silicone baking cups for muffins and made some pumpkin coconut flour muffins.
When we got to Ikea we ate some of their famous meatballs and I have veggies and water.
I always keep a baggie of nuts and a few squares of 86% chocolate in my purse and I ate some of those during the day also.
When I got home I ate ??? Duh I can't remember. haha.

Here was my breakfast Monday morning; almond flour pancakes w/butter and natures hollow sugar free preserves and some turkey bacon and berries.
So I went back over there again around 11:30 yesterday and it was the same thing. No one was dressed or ready. They were just eating breakfast at noon, then they all got showered and dressed. Kattie trimmed my hair for me. She is going to beauty school to be a hair dresser.

Again no one could decide what to do, cause they had no money. Kattie mentioned the day before that she wanted to go whale watching. I said I'm not gonna do that cause I get REAL SEA SICK, but anything else will be fine.

We wound up going to Ana's house in Tustin (who is Maria's niece and  Lisa and Kattie's cousin.) Remember I posted the pics of us over there for a thanksgiving dinner?? They are so nice and very welcoming and generous.

Around 2ish we got there and Ana had made some carnitas (pork) and it smelled good!! she fixed me a plate of some carnitas and she sauted some spinach for me. YummmmmO.

Again Kattie and her hubby argues of what to do so we just all went to a store and looked around, came back to Ana's house and I had some tea with her and a few bites of a desert she made.

Got back home last night around 9:30pm and I was still hungry so I had 1 little zucchini-cheese muffin.

This was my breakfast this morning; 2 Oasis toast w/butter, pepper jack cheese, avocado, poached eggs on top w/some berries.

I have noticed that my E.T.'s are getting a bit worse. I am real worried about that because I have read a ton of stuff online where some people who are taking meds are getting bad side effects, like kidney failure from them. So I really don't want to take any- at ALL!!

I noticed they get worse when I am hungry and when I get upset or stressed. So I guess I gotta learn how to breathe and try to calm my shakes down.

Even though Hubby said it was OK for me to go hang out with them the past few days - he seemed to get upset with me for not doing anything at home the past 2 days. The fact that he works and I don't - seems to come up all the time. I feel real bad about that and I think the only way for me to get a job is to know someone who knows someone. Because of the fact that I don't have any real experience the past few years to show (cause I have been self employed). So I'm kind of lost on that subject right now.

Well that's all for today - the good and the bad.

And Remember - no matter where you are or who you are around, you can always find something healthy to eat. Just don't let those food bullies try to change your mind or get to you. STAND YOUR GROUND..

Thanks for listening. Lots of love to you all.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

The only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. I have a silicone muffin pan, a large one and one for minis. I HATE the large one, everything sticks to it now and the baking time is always off. Ugh. No more heavy lifting for you! Take care of youself!

Since you track your food a lot have you noticed that on the days that you have wheat do you hurt more or shake more? Just wondering if Dr. Davis was right when he talked (on his blog wheat belly) about wheat and pain being associated with one another. Take Care Rosalie we all love you and want you healthy!

I got my square muffin pan like you guys have for Christmas. I don't think it is the right one? Mine is not slanted in like a muffin pan, it is more straight squares like big peti fores? sp???

  6. I hope everything works out for you. Stay positive. Just as you can always find something healthy to eat, you can always find some good(no matter how small) in whatever happens. Even if it does take a while to see it.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
