I Love Vamps...

Good Morning Friends,

Yes I am very happy to say that even after 2 years of doing The Belly Fat Cure, I love it!! I absolutely love eating this way and share it every day where ever I go. I feel - eating this way has got me to where I am so I will never stop or eat any other way.

I love this little blogging community that we have here. I meet new people every day that have the same thing in common and the fact that we all share new recipes that we find and what we have learned with each other is awesome.

Don't forget to check out my friends blogs on the list below. Support while trying to lose weight is very important.

Welcome to any new people. If you have any questions or comments (good or bad) just put them below and we will all help.

Here's what I ate yesterday:
Breakfast;
I sauted some onion and mushrooms in EVOO, then added turkey sausage crumbles, made an omelet then added cheese, with some berries and 2 cinnamon cakes.

Lunch:

I made a tuna melt quesedilla. Tuna, with mayo, feta cheese, avocado and baby spinach put in a whole grain tortilla w/swiss cheese.

snack; I had a pumpkin muffin.

dinner;
I made some turkey chili, used what I had on hand. 2.5lbs of turkey, 1/2 yellow onion, 4 mushrooms, fresh garlic, 1/2 cup of pumpkin puree, some seeds of change pasta sauce, a few spoons of salsa, cumin, chili powder, red pepper, oregano, onion powder, and a tbsp of cocoa powder (I know it sounded weird, but I red it off another blog).
I put some in a bowl w/some broccoli.

desert:
chia seed pudding w/RediWhip (on recipe page)
Here is a picture of a new T-Shirt I got the other day. I'm trying to get ready for True Blood. LOL
OK so last night I was watching that new show with Keifer Sutherland w/Hubby and decided to have a cup of candy cane lane tea. So I made it and sat on the nice leather sofa we have. And YUP you guessed it. Right after I sat down my ET's started up real bad and I spilled it all over me and the sofa. I yelled "HELP ME". Hubby ran over and took it out of my shakey hand and I ran over to the sink and pulled down my jeans and put a cold cloth on my leg. It was from my knee all the way up my thigh.

I was so upset I was crying so bad and ran upstairs. I felt so stupid for even trying that. I thought I was OK and I know how I shake, but it just kind of crept up on me. I put some cream on it and changed and left my bottoms off to let it air off and just stayed up there still crying.

Then Hubby came up after about 5 minutes and brought the tea for me. I told him I don't want it cause I always just hurt myself. He didn't make a big deal and said its OK and told me to drink it.

I am OK - no major burns, just my feelings hurt. I think I need to get a special mug extra thick that will not get hot and maybe with 2 handles.

Well that's it for now. Thanks for listening to me ramble. Lots of love to you all.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

Triple Truth

Teach this triple truth to all: A generous heart, kind speech, and a life of service and compassion are the things which renew humanity.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  3. Sorry about the tea thing. I hope you are okay. I saw the end of something on the news the other day and it was talking about the success of ultrasound treatments for ET. If I recall correctly, it said the results are very good. Wish I had heard more, but I'm sure you could google it. Also I always put dark chocolate in my chili and alittle cinnamon too. I read that somewhere in a recipe and I always do it. Sending you big hugs and thanks for updating my weight!! So glad to be out of the 80's!

  4. You shouldn't feel bad about your ETs. How could you possibly have helped that? I'm glad your burn wasn't too bad. You should use one of those travel mugs that have the screw on lid and only a little hole opens up to drink out of. Your husband is very sweet looking after you like that.

  6. Hi Rosalie...just found your blog and loving it!! Am new to this way of eating, but like it because there are no points or calories. How strict are you with measuring stuff? Glad to hear you weren't burned!

  7. Hi Rosalie, so sorry about your tea mishap! I don't have ETs, but I used to have really bad tremors, and I can understand the frustration and embarrassment. It isn't your fault, and as another poster noted, there are some easy precautions to prevent injury. The travel mug is a great one. (I use it even without tremors cuz I can be a klutz.) Also, if your legs shake, you might want to consider good hand-holds and bannisters (and round-edged furniture!) Take care, and be nice to yourself! You are an amazing person.

  8. Great blog. Here's a tip for photos: if you want to take a photo of yourself that isn't a mirror-image (like for your Vamp shirt), you can 1) line up the shot with a camera on a tripod or counter and use a timer or 2) take it in front of TWO mirrors, angled toward one another. Face mostly toward one mirror and then set the other mirror at a tight angle (like 45 degrees), then look into the image in the first mirror close to the angle: you will see yourself (and any writing) the correct way. You can then take a picture. Hope this helps!

  9. Oh, I'm so sorry, Rosalie! Glad you weren't burned too badly but sorry it happened at all :( I was coming by to ask you about a wine I want to drink and saw this new post. i LOVE the picture - i am a huge True Blood fan. Can't wait for Season 5 to start up!!! Are you Team Eric or Team Bill? I never liked Bill much but once he got detached from Sookie and turned badass, I liked him much more :) Anyway, here's a description taken from the winery of the wine I have and REALLY want to drink from time to time. Would love your opinion! "Cru is created by blending freshly pressed Chardonnay with brandy at an early stage, preserving the fruity aromas of the Chardonnay grapes. The distinct aging process – aged for over a year in American bourbon barrels – results in complex and spicy aromas that are truly all-American and appropriate as an aperitif on any occasion.

    Tasting Notes

Deep, fresh aromas and flavors of pear, citrus, bourbon and toasted almonds. This fortified wine is 18% alcohol, so it works equally well neat or as a mixer."

    Thanks, Rosalie!!!

    1. HMMM, Angie I'm not sure that's why it's so great to go wine tasting. I say get it and if tastes at all sweet - give it to someone else. Just don't drink it if it tastes sweet.

  10. What about an insulated mug with a lid? Thats what I use and I put a straw in it so my coffee doesnt stain my teeth. It def helps contain hot liquids nicely. Glad you werent hurt and that hubby was close by to help you.
    :) Hugs to you!

  11. How awful! I'm sorry that happened to you. So sweet of your hubby to try and comfort you and bring you a cup of tea afterwards. The idea of a travel mug with lid is a great idea. Hopefully the ultrasound treatments others mentioned is a possibility for you and would be helpful.

  12. Sorry to hear about your burn. Hope you are feeling better today. I always drink from a insulated mug like Sherri because I always seem to spill on myself. I love the Vamp shirt!

  14. sorry about your burning yourself. I'm pretty clumsy, so I've been known to do that kind of thing even without the tremors. :)

I haven't watched trublood, but I am in the middle of the book series. I like it so far. Hubby's not into that kind of show, so not likely that I'll have time to watch it on my own. You never know though!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
