Happy Day to you...

Well yesterday morning I decided to make some pancakes using Ground Flaxseed
Spectrum Eseentials 40523 Organic Ground Essential Flax SeedThis is the kind I buy at Sprouts Market.
I really LIKED these.
I made them w/2 eggs, about 5-6 tbsp of ground flaxseed, cinnamon, 1 truvia, little baking powder, vanilla and some unsweetened vanilla Almond Milk (enough to make it the right consistency).

My batch made 4 and I put cream cheese and natures hollow on top. I had every intention of eating all 4 cause I was hungry, But I could only eat 2 and gave the other 2 to hubby. He actually liked them too.

Hubby worked the night shift so he got home at 7am and went to sleep. He woke up after about 2 hours. He always does that, he says his sleep pattern is all screwed up from working nights then days.

So he wanted to go to the movies. When I go to the movies I make some turkey lunch meat w/cheese in the middle like this:
This time I put some hummus inside. Ahsley's suggestion and it was good. I wrap it up in plastic or foil and put it in my purse and eat it there. I had popcorn of course w/o butter. And had 2 squares of 86% dark chocolate in my purse.

He always wants to see 2 movies and not just 1 cause it is so expensive. Remember I said before that I think my ET's act up more in the theater?? I think I'm right. As soon as the commercials started playing with all the loud noise, yup - I seemed to shake more. Good thing it was dark when I dropped all the popcorn :-)

Oh yeah I almost forgot, I say One for the Money  - first w/Katherine Heigle. Cute and Man on the ledge - 2nd. 2 thumbs up for that one. Exciting from start to finish.

I got home around 3:30 and took the dogs for a brisk walk. It was a beautiful day.

6 brussel sprouts and some more turkey chili w/cheese on top.
 After dinner - decaf gingerbread tea and 3 almond chocolate chip cookies that were left in the fridge.

Well that was my day yesterday. Nothing to write home about.

    I love the garlic hummus, Safeway has tons of different brand and flavored hummus :)
    Its sooooo funny how I eat my rutkey roll ups like that, with the string cheese inside! I swear, toooo funny. We're alike in some ways, aye?

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
