My lowest weight in over 25 years...

Hello everyone,

So I have been eating a lot of coconut and almond flour stuff mostly the last few weeks. I have been only eating a few grain breads or tortillas a week. I am trying to see if eating low or no grains will help in the weight loss. Like everyone is saying. Not that I need to lose any more.

My weight fluctuates between 150-152.5 lbs usually. We (as women) have to allow that couple pounds because of our hormones I guess.

This morning my weight was 149.5 lbs. Like I said in my previous post, that is the lowest for  me in over 25 years. So I guess there is something to be said for no-grain stuff.

Look what I ate last night??
I was missing mashed potatoes so I had some with some meatballs and seeds of change s/f pasta sauce. Just kidding it was shredded cauliflower w/butter, u/s almond breeze, cheese, and a dab of sour cream. It wan't exactly potatoes but very good.

Tomorrow (Sunday) my sister, Lisa and I are going to Vegas to pick up my step-mom Maria. Remember I was helping Lisa find a house to rent cause her lease is up the first week of November? Well we found a place and Maria is coming over for 2 weeks to help her pack and move.

So we are going up tomorrow and only staying for 1 day and coming home on Tuesday morning. As we speak I am making Lemon coconut flour bread and later the Almond flour chocolate chip cookies to take along. I am sure she will love them. She has diabetes and needs low sugar alternatives.

So I won't be back on here until Tuesday. NO sense in taking my computer, she has no internet or computer. LOL. So I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Thanks for listening. Leave me messages I can read them thru my phone. Lots of love for ya.

My thought for the day:

Grateful

grateful2Gratefulness is the key to a happy life that we hold in our hands, because if we are not grateful, then no matter how much we have we will not be happy because we will always want to have something else or something more.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. Cauliflower is one of my FAVES. My kids can't believe how much it reminds them of mashed potatoes.
Have a terrific time! "See" you when you get back. :)

  2. I'm so jealous! I need to get away, but responsibilities won't allow for it right now. The cauliflower looks great. I was looking for frozen cauliflower at the store, yesterday, but couldn't find it alone. It was always mixed with another veggie. I guess I will just get fresh so I can try the pizza crust. I made a really good crustless spinach quiche today that even my picky child loved. I think I'll post it on the BFC facebook page. Have a blast and we'll miss you!

  8. That's great! You know, that's how I started out - fewer and fewer grain products until I had replacements for everything and didn't need them anymore. Have a great day!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
