Keep that in Mind....

Hello all,

Today is going to be a rainy day over here in Southern California. Which is fine but I do have some errands to run, Wal-Mart, Sprouts, and back to Kohls to use my $20 in Kohl's cash and today my 30% off coupon expires so I thought I would buy a couple of long sleeve tops since the weather is getting cooler.

I still don't have enough clothes to wear. I run out fast. It takes a lot of time and tons of money to replace an entire wardrobe Ladies!!!! OK - so that's something to keep in mind while you are losing all that weight HAHA.

I have gone thru my closet many times to remove all the big stuff, but I just can't get rid of all of it. I can wear some of the big t-shirt type tops to bed. I even had to buy new bras and underwear. Everything is waaayyyy to big after losing 88lbs.

This morning I was wearing a new top I got a Kohls  and hubby came down stairs and said - WOW you look so skinny!!! You look like a 23" waist, I said no its 30". He said you look so good, and yeah I'm checkin you out - haha like the soup commercial.

So I told him to take a picture so I could post on here - and I know I have told you before but, he takes the absolute worse pictures in the whole world!!!!

His picture:

Here's one I tried to take in the mirror.
Well anyway - my point is I can wear stripes now which I never - EVER would have done before.

So here is a picture of my breakfast this morning which was so good I had to share.

2 eggs, w/ cheese, 2 turkey bacon, 2 oasis toast w/butter, cinnamon, and truvia, and some berries. Of course coffee. S-5/C-1
(remember that I am in maintenance mode now and would never have eaten that many berries before. I would have only eaten 6-8 blackberries or raspberries)

I love to help anyone I can to lose weight like I have done, do let me know if I can help. If you happen to friend me on Facebook, make sure that you include a message.

I always try to post what I have eaten - so go back and read some earlier posts for you newbies.

I know some of you have chosen to try the Fast Track. Just remember that if it gets too much for you and you feel like you want to cheat, cheat with some BFC stuff :-) The BFC has worked much better for me to eat at least 1-2 grain carbs a day. That's just me. I personally don't think it is too realistic to do a diet with no grains at all when you are used to eating TONS of junk!!

Well thanks for listening to me today. Lots of love to you all. Don't forget to checkout and join all my friends blogs too on the list below.

This is PurpleRosy signing off....

My thought for the day:

A New Day

a new day positive quoteFinish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in, forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day, you shall begin it well and serenely.  Ralph Waldo Emerson
Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  2. You DO look skinny!! I'll friend you on Facebook.
I weighed 139 a few year ago (well about 7 now) and kept all my small clothes thankfully. I can't wait to get back into them!! I bought a pair of Ralph Lauren khaki pants and Gap white jeans right when I started gaining the weight back and never even wore them. They are my goal pants. When I can fit into those two pairs again, I will know I am there.

  4. Horizontal stripes??? You rock girl! I know what you mean about stripes, I never wear them, especially horizontal ones. As always you continue to be an inspiration to me. I may not be your star student, but one day I'll make you proud! Hugs to you from me. Oh and the first time I wrote this and hit post comment, the comment disappeared. This time I am copying it first and then going to log and log in. Weird stuff going on with this posting.

  9. I usually read the your blog and others on my iPad, which is more difficult to post comments on. But I am still following and trying to lose. I'm with you, tho, I will stick with maybe 40 gram of carb a day. I feel better that way, and not so deprived.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
