Better Today...

Good Morning Everybody,

Well I feel much better today, but not yesterday. I was tired and felt crappy all day and when I woke up I weighed 152.5. That's 3 lb gain from all that stress. I didn't eat bad just at the wrong times. eating breakfast late after I already had something with my morning coffee waiting for them, eating between lunch and dinner, then a snack at night of something that I brought with me.

Today is Thursday and I am starting my monthly again. Geeze I wish this would stop already! I am better today, weighed 151 this morning, so by a couple days I should be back to normal.

I just had a great breakfast:
I made 1/2 batch of Almond Pancakes (on recipe tab) it made 3, and I put 4 blueberries in each one w/butter and Joseph's sugar free syrup and turkey bacon. I think I like the Almond Pancakes better than the coconut ones. S-4/C-1

I was talking with Hubby this morning and asked him, "now come on be serious, do you really want me to get a holiday job where I will be working for $8 an hour till late at night and all weekends and holidays?" I need to know now, cause I have been applying??

He said NO. I think he likes having me around when he is at home even though he complains that I don't work. He just said he wants me to learn how to do this computer stuff for him instead. I said OK-fine.

This morning he said I am looking hot and like a MILF. Do you know what that is??? A Mother I'd like to F--K. haha he's funny....

I took my car over to the Mechanic when I got home on Tuesday from Vegas, and told him to check my brakes because of the accident. So yesterday he calls me and says: I'm gonna replace the front pads again for free (no DUH) and Oh you need rear brakes now and we did a test on the brake fluid and it is diluted. And that will be $300 more dollars by the way.

I got so pissed and said if it is diluted no one touched my car since the last time you did. How can it be diluted now and not before?? I finally got so mad at him and said I feel that my accident is your fault anyway and now I have to pay at least $500 for a new bumper - so I can't afford $300 more so just replace the front ones and give me back my car.

I feel like they always just try to rip me off every time I go in there and fix stuff that I don't need. I am picking the car up soon and have to find a new mechanic I can actually trust now. I am never going back to him.

Well hubby is working the next 5 nights in a row - so I have to find something to do. Who's around? Come over and hang with me :-)

  1. Glad you are feeling better Rosie! I wish my hubby would tell me I didnt have to work....you are lucky. I would exercise every day if I didnt work. Sorry to hear about your car problem. Make sure you take it somewhere to have those back brakes checked out though cuz we dont want anything to happen to you.

  2. Glad you're doing better today. I'm a grumpy today. And up this week in weight too. I'm sure it's related. Hate that! I know it will come back off, I just wish it didn't yo yo like that. Oh well. Sad to hear you are having car troubles - hope you can find a good mechanic.

  3. Your husband sounds like my husband! When I was laid off he kept bugging me about not working, but when I asked the same thing you did, he also said NO! Men.....They want their cake and to eat it, too! LOL Your weight is probably up just slightly because of the time of month it is. I gain so much water weight then it's not funny! Anyhow, glad you are home and hope you find an honest mechanic!

  4. If he says you don't have to work...don't do it!!! It might ease your boredom a little, but it will bring a whole other list of problems.
    Send your husband to the mechanic and see if he tries to do things that don't need done. Men seem to stop them from suggestions that aren't needed.
    I'm glad you are happier today, the weight will be gone as soon as your release your built up fluids:) Piece of cake...not cake....coconut bread:)

  5. I hear what you are saying about mechanics it is hard to find a honest one. I would not worry about work if you dont need to then dont. I wish I could stay home so I can have some me time. Hope you can enjoy the rest of your week and de-stress a little.

  6. Hi Rosalie. Thanks for commenting on my blog. I think some mechanics try to see what they can get away with, when dealing with women. how rude. I find that when I'm away from home my routine gets thrown off, eating somewhat, and bowels too. And I've learned that I generally don't lose much my Pms week. I'm sure you'll get right back to where you were before, when you have better control of your routine. Have a good friday!

  8. I just read the other comments and think that the mechanics take advantage of women. I just had this happen to me a few weeks ago where they wanted to charge me for warranty work. I told the dealer that I wasn't going to sign their paperwork and that I would wait for my husband to look at it and at the car. It's funny how all of a sudden I didn't have to pay! Grrrrr!

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
