It brings tears to my eyes....

Hello Everyone,

I want to start off by saying that you all really mean a lot to me. Words cannot express how much all your wonderful comments mean to me. I truly love this little group that we have here and I hope all of you do too.

I can relate so much to everyone's stories and trials that they go thru trying to lose weight. When you are hurting and feeling bad about yourself and beating yourself up because the weight is not coming off fast enough, It brings tears to my eyes. I want to help in some way so you don't have to cry anymore about feeling fat. You know how much I hate that word - FAT!

It's funny that my size 8's are getting big on me now and still its hard to realize that I am not that word anymore. I have been that big for at least 20 years and it just became a part of me. I learning to love me now, flabby, wrinkles and bumps and all. We lose and lose and still find so much room for improvement - right?

Remember that post that I made about loving ourselves?
I said "Accept yourself with all, our lumps and wrinkles and sags and cottage cheese, We are Beautiful. "
We need to remember that.

So the other day our new couch came and it was damaged and looked terrible so Hubby called them to return it. So we went back over to the Arizona Leather place that we went to last week to get Hubby's chair and got a sofa from them. The guy told me I looked TINY!! There is that word again. I told him that he was the second person to every call em that - well lately anyways. Remember the girl that bought my old couch said I looked tiny also. HMMM that sounds just weird.

I am really loving this coconut bread. I made some today and put 12 pks of truvia, 2 tablespoons of cinnamon, and an extra egg, so 7 instead of 6. I got to tell you that did it. Much Better!! I love it with Nature's Hollow sugar free preserves on top or peanut butter. It really satisfies my sweet tooth and is real filling when I eat 2 slices. I'm just sayin!!

Well, thanks for listening. Hugs and buy 1 get 1 free today... Don't forget my list of blogs below, I added a new on today.

This is PurpleRosy signing off...

My thought for the day:

When you are about to reach for that something that you should not eat,
Just remember: WWRD
What Would Rosy Do

I am there with you in spirit.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. You are just the sweetest and most caring person. I always look forward to what you have to say, and I know that when I come to your blog, I will get a dose of motivation, a laugh or too, and a tug at my heartstrings. I'm not your best student, but one day I'll make you proud when I reach my goal, and myself too!
I'm sorry about your sofa. I swear that sort of thing always seems to happen to me too. I order something and it comes with a scratch or nick or something. Glad you found something else you liked.

So I finally made the coconut bread. The first time I made it with the olive oil and it wasn't good. The second time in a hurry I added two sticks of butter 'cause I didn'r read the recipe right. That was so crumbly and I'm sure had tons of calories. So I set out to make it the other day. No eggs in the fridge! I found a container of the egg beaters in my freezer. So I used that and it turned out great. I only used a tsp of cinnamon, but I have this saigon cinnamon and I think it is more potent. Remember when Jorge did a thing about cinnamon and he was saying to only by a certain type because the others can have chemicals or something. I'll have to try and find where I read that. Anyway, I checked the cinnamon I had at the time, which I got at Homegoods of all places, and sure enough it was what he said to buy. So now I try to find that type. I'm probably making no sense, so when I remember the details I'll get back to you. Anyway, the bread is good. I took two slices and put chicken breast, sharp provolone and regular yellow mustard on it. It was so good. Sweet and savory. Looking forward to having it other ways now. Ok, going to be, long day at work. I need office help and you need a job. It's a shame we aren't closer! Have a nice weekend. Heading to the beach for the whole week. I'll post from down there and put up some pictures. Hugs to you from me!

  3. Hey Tiny:) Tiny Rosie!!! That should make you feel amazing. I think your heart is so big and I appreciate you a lot.
I often wonder if I would worry so much about my lumps and bumps if I had a job? If I had more to do with myself? Felt more productive? I think I have way too much time on my hands to stress about it.
My daughter mentioned the other day that she doesn't wear shorts either and I said "don't you dare do that to yourself!" I went for so many years without enjoying the full glow of summer because I wouldn't be caught dead in shorts. When the kids were little I wore kind of a mumu jumper when we went to the pool etc. When I lost a little weight after that I continued to wear long pants all the time. Crazy! At least I have gotten past that!!!
Thank you for your words on encouragement and advice. I may not always listen to the advice, but I always hear the words of encouragement!

  4. Oh, Rosalie, I am so sorry to hear about your couch. After all the looking, deciding, and waiting, and now this! Just isn't fair.

So, Tiny, eh? How nice is that! I think you look awesome, too!

So, what did the extra egg do? Moister? Fluffier? How did it effect the bread? I am wondering if it did what my leaving out some of the flour did. Maybe I'll try another egg next time, just to see...

    have a super duper weekend!

  5. To be called "tiny" would be a mind blower over here! You've done so well!!
I'm still on my first batch of coconut bread but still like it because its so easy to use as a "grab & go" snack/meal.

  6. You are so precious to all of us and I appreciate and love you so much! It is so true we have to accept ourselves at any age or weight and do what we can to feel better about how we look.

This is the first summer in 10 years that I have worn shorts with any consistency. I had to accept that I may not have perfect legs but if I tried to wait for "perfect" I might end up hot for the rest of my life.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
