Hello Listeners :-)

Hello Listeners,

  • I feel like I am doing a radio show and I have only 7 listeners. LOL. The longer I do the Belly Fat Cure, the more I notice people dropping off. When I started there was like a ton of people doing this. I wish there was a way, other than writing this blog, to let people know how great this is.
  • Do you realize how easy this is? All you need to do it to change the way you eat - just a tweak. Seriously, that is all I did and now the result is 83lbs of fat gone from me. I feel fabulous and I share with anyone and everyone I meet.
  • It's funny how your taste buds change. Yesterday I really didn't do much. When hubby got home in the morning he took a nap, cause he was working nights this weekend. We decided to go over to Borders book store. My email said this was the last 2 days. They were all $2.99 or less, so we got like 15 books. Then we went to this Crepe place that recently opened up. It was 3pm so it was no my time to eat. I just had some iced tea and a few of his garlic fries and 1 bite of his crepe. It had chicken, and some mango salsa on top. Didn't like it at all. He loved it - but that sweet taste was yuck to me. It's funny how your taste buds change after so long with no sugar.
  • Don't be scared to eat away from home. I am supposed to go to my old neighbors house this afternoon at 2pm for a BBQ. It's for all of us that joined up to walk in the Revlon Walk/Run thing in May for Breast Cancer. #1 that is in between my eating times.  Don't usually do that any more, eat between meals for no reason like before. and #2 they are probably gonna have a bunch of food that I can no longer eat in my current nutritional lifestyle. #3 they are probably gonna try to get me to drink stuff that I can't any more. So here is where the don't let anyone bully you to eat thing comes in. I have found that I can eat pretty much anywhere on the BFC. Maybe I will just eat some meat and a tortilla (they usually have mexican food) or a glass of wine. So, don't be scared to eat away form home - just make belly good choices.
  • Yesterday I ate:
  1. breakfast; 2 eggs, smart and delicious wheat tortilla w/cheese, 1/2 avocado, 8 blackberries, 2 turkey bacon, coffee, blah, blah, blah.
  2. lunch; a califlower crust pizza w/ seeds of change, romagna 3 cheese pasta sauce, cheese, turkey pepperoni.
  3. snack; a few of hubbys garlic fries and 1 bite of his crepe and iced tea.
  4. dinner; 7 meatballs, broccoli and some alfredo sauce. and for desert 2 squares of Lindt 85% dark chocolate w/ RediWhip.
  • I have been experimenting with my fiber intake lately.  For about 2 weeks now I have only been putting the clear Benefiber in my morning coffee. In doing this for way over a year now, I have found the perfect combination of fiber intake so that I can go #2 every day and keep losing weight.  Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee, and 1 scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. ( you can get this on the Amazon.com  widget at the top. It's the best price). The past 2 weeks I have been skipping the super seed, just to see if I can still do my morning #2. So it has not been as great, I still go every day, but every 2-3 days I let out a whopper. So I guess it kind of builds up. I realize this might sound like TMI, but on The Belly Fat Cure - this is a need-to know thing.
Well this is PurpleRosy from BFC Radio signing off for today.....

Thanks again for listening. Lots of love to all. Please leave your comments and don't forget the list of all my friend's blogs below.

  1. Just when I get discouraged you write a nice note and I feel better! Thank you:) I know it took me well over a year to get here, it won't take 2 months to drop back down. Ugh!!! I am starting week 6 on Monday. If I am at 11 lbs by then I feel like it will be a miracle. I know from working with tons of women dieting that 2 lbs a weeks is a good weight loss so to get over myself...but...it was so fast in the beginning:( I will keep after it, I just need see some more improvement in my clothes fitting and I will get better.
    Thanks Rosie....tons!!!

  2. I agree...you can eat just about anywhere and just make belly good choices. For the past week I have eaten out way more than usual because of grabbing lunch between docs appts or horse things. I just don't eat bread or anything breaded or cooked in a sweet type sauce. I have taken to carrying a couple of slices of "my bread" with me so I can make an impromptu burger or whatever else. Everybody had spagetti last night....i had the sauce on my bread for a spagetti sandwich and left the noodles and garlic bread for everybody else. I have discovered that even sauces with a fair amount of sugar can be eaten in either 1/4 or 1/2c increments...usually I can tell by the smell how much I think would be ok to have. If it smells sweet, I have a 1/4 cup. If not, I have a 1/2 cup. This works for eating out or at other peoples houses. I have said from the beginning that I don't expect my eating habits to change the way other people cook when I am there. I make changes and accomodate my needs on my own. It is both empowering and it works!!

  3. Hi, my name is Rebecca and I have been following your blog for quite some time. I have been trying the BFC for over almost 2 months and i have not been able to lose weight. I have PCOS which probably contributes to the reason why. Have you heard of anyone with PCOS having success on the BFC?

  4. I have a question, what do you say to people when they want you to eat food that is not bfc friendly? Last week when we were at my folks my mom dressed the spinach salad with huckleberry vin which is high in sugar, and when I said something she said it was low in calories and fat...I told her I don't worry about that but I do watch sugar, well I ended up eating some salad cuz I was hungry and then I was annoyed at myself for doing that.
How do you handle sticking to your guns?

  5. Just wanted to say THANKYOU! You are an inspiration to me. I just started BFC a few weeks ago and reading about someone doing it for 2 years is such an inspiration. Thank you for not being one of the people that gave up/fell off the wagon.
Please know that there are more than 7 people that read and appreciate your story!! I love reading about your meals and loved the videos too! Thank you, thank you! Keep BFCing :)

  6. My friend and I go out to breakfast almost every weekend morning, and we used to get the potatoes with the eggs, ham or bacon, and toast. We finally wised up now ask for a replacement for the potato's. We are offered sliced tomato, or a salad for a buck more. The better places give us salad at no charge. Places are starting to come around for the healthier eater! Great post.

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
