Be Who You Are...

Hello Listeners,

  • I was watching the latest episode of Glee, and I love the message that they are always giving. It just made me cry . The message was to be who you are. Don't try to hide it or change it. Ask for help instead of trying to do it alone.
  • I remember through all the past 20 years how bad I felt about myself for being fat and overweight. But with a lot of hard work and tons of support from all of you I don't have to feel that way anymore. 
  • Its funny cause when I walk every day with my dogs and I see my silhouette on the ground, and I look down and say " who is that? Is that really me?"  I am walking into Sam's Club and see myself in the store window and go "Wow - I can't believe I really look like that now" !!! 
  • You see, after being so heavy for over 20 years, It's hard to imagine ME this way - even though it's been months. The other day when Hubby and I went to Lucille's, we were on our way out and he was laughing. When we got outside I asked him just what was so funny? He said you just don't see it do you? I was like - what? He said that everyone always stares at me cause I am so hot now. and he thinks it is funny and says: Yeah she's with me.... He's right I don't notice cause I still don't see ME that way yet.

    • So that's why my message for today is:
    Be Who You Are.....

    • We all have an US waiting inside to come out. So don't give up on The Belly Fat Cure. I am living proof that this really can work!! Just stick with it and try different things and eventually the weight will come off. 

    Support - Support - Support, That is very important!

    2. I really love Glee too and it does have some great lessons we can learn from. I have always heard it takes awhile for your thinking to change after losing weight. You reach for a extra large instead of a small or medium when shopping...because in our minds we are still that fat person. So remember to tell yourself everyday that you are hot and sexy and skinny!

    3. That episode was really good last night. They all wore t-shirts with their worst quality written on it, so all could see it. Be Who You Are, don't hide it or change it. We need to learn how to embrace our unique differences, and celebrate the fact that we have these amazing qualities, and own them! We all have things we don't like about ourselves. I'm struggling with having this fat gut at the moment. Hehe. Yep, that's what my t-shirt would say - Fat Gut. But trying to whittle it down this past year. All we can do is try, ask for help, except help, learn, and keep trying and never give up!

    5. You hit a home run again Rosie:) Good advice! I had the opposite, I would look in the mirror at the bigger me and wonder who in the heck it was? I feel much better lately looking at the mid size me:) I LOVE BFC!!! I think my daughter and her husband might try it too. I hope so!!!

      So looking forward to joining forces with you! This will be my second time at this lifestyle change. I had minimal success the first time around but didn't stick with it. I am recommitting myself today! Looking forward to feeling energized and light! Looking to shed about 40 lbs.

You know what's funny is that Being big ...I've never really thought of me as such.. and perhaps that has been one of my problems I'm a size 10 in my head not a 24.But starting to lose the weight and seing minor body changes already... I'm like whoa whoa whoa who is this person....who knew I had the possibilty of having ankles already... and I got excited and went now I must look like a size 9.lol. I really can't wait until my mental image matches my physical image... and when it happens it will be in part to you and your wonderful motivation.

    Some tips if you are having trouble

    • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
    • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
    • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
    • Make sure you drink lots of water.
    • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
    • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
    • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
    • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
