Year 2, Saturday wk 9 on the Belly Fat Cure

Hello to all,

It has been raining on and off all week over here in Southern California. I have not been able to walk every day with my dogs like I always do. That's OK - I think today will be the last day in a while.

Hubby works days at the FD Fri, Sat, Sun, so I am by myself again. The other day he pissed me off again, so you know what I did? Went shopping at Kohl's - What else?

I had a 30% off coupon - so Woo Hoo! Away I went. It was around 1pm yesterday and I was supposed to go to Henry's Market but I said, I'll just stop by Kohl's for a minute.

I must have gone the dressing rooms about 5 times and made at least 3 loops around the store. I really was in no rush - SO, By the time I got out of there and in my car on the way to Henry's it was 5pm. I had a backache and put just a little over $200 on my Kohl's charge.

While I was in there, hubby called me. I said - guess where I am? You have 3 guesses. He said Kohls. I said yup and thats what you get for pissing me off. HA HA.

Yesterday I ate:
breakfast; 2 eggs, 2 oasis bread w/butter and peanut butter on one and natures hollow sugar free preserves on the other, turkey bacon, 8 blackberries, and coffee, blah, blah, blah.

lunch; smart and delicious wheat tortilla w/ turkey, pepper jack cheese, mustard and spinach leaves, and some veggie chips with a bit of sour cream.

dinner; stir fry veggies w/braggs, curry, tofu, shirataki noodles, and some rediwhip for desert.

It's funny that no matter how long we eating healthy and doing the Belly Fat Cure, every time our weight goes up a little we kind of freak out and get all depressed. I know that if it says 159 today that tomorrow it will most likely say 156.

Even though we all might be going thru some real bad emotional stuff we must learn to control our emotional eating and not just eat because we are upset. I have learned that in the past year. It doesn't even come to my mind anymore to eat bad. I know that this is the way I eat now, and That is THAT!

It will get easier with time. and then it will just be a part of life. Sometimes I pass by something or see it on TV and say "I remember that". It's kind of like a joke really. Sometimes I feel like I have been on a deserted Island. With all of my friends. All of You!

  1. UR funny, I too shop when I'm made at hubby, and there have been times where I've made a huge dent LOL!!! I've started doing something knew, I drink 8 oz of water before I eat anything, a snack, dinner, whatever. The other day I was bored, and thought I'll have a few cashews, but then I thought, nah, I don't wanna drink the water ha ha! Tx for all you do! wish you were closer to me :)

  2. Hello Rosalie, I agree we must learn to control our emotional eating, because for many of us that is the thing that stands in the way of our health and weigth we want to be. I know for myself it is hard not to eat/drink to make myself feel better or as a reward because I think I deserve it. I hope you have a nice rest of your weekend :)

  3. HEy girl! I am so jealous of that 30% Kohls coupon! I only got a 15%. (rats!) I really want to buy some new jeans but I hate to spend the $ when I may be in a different size in a month or so. My Levis are looking really bad lately and they need replaced badly!!
    Anyways, good for you for getting some new things to wear on your skinny little self! Im sure it is so fun to shop now that you have lost so much weight! Have a great weekend and will you please change my weight to 193 now? Getting close to that 180s mark!! Thanks!!

  4. I went shopping at Kohl's too, with a 30% coupon. Got some cute shirts. I can wear a large now instead of an XL so I am super excited about that. The cuter things are always smaller plus easier to find. Large sizes are always so few to find so I can't wait til I can wear med and maybe smalls. :) I bet you found some really cute things. :) It rained her a lot last night so we didn't have any more nice weather for this weekend but hopefully the rain won't last to long. Hope your weekend was nice. :)

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.
