Tuesday of week 51: The Belly Fat Cure

Hi fellow BFC 'rs,

I am still at Dad's in Vegas. Right now it is 7pm on Tuesday, and we are currently in the hospice with dad. He has been doing real bad and looks progressively worse each day.

Last night Maria and I really got no sleep at all. We tried to go to sleep around 12:30, then at 1:30am he woke up yelling and he was very afraid and told Maria to go get me so I could hold his hand. We stayed with him for about 2 hours. He sees things and mumbles weird stuff. At some point he was making Maria and I laugh. He was even speaking spanish. My dad grew up in Poland and is Jewish and was in the concentration camps, so that was funny to us.

I am trying real hard to eat good, but I think I get nervous and I feel like I might be eating too much. I will see after this is over.

Thanks for thinking of me and my dad during this time. I appreciate all your thoughts. Maybe if any of you have a hotline to the big guy, you can get dad pointed in the right direction so he can finally be at peace.

Thanks for listening. Lots of love to you all.

My thought for today:

Every thought you think acts in every cell of your body.

Keep on BFC ' n  :-)

  1. I will pray for you, Maria, and your Dad to have peace. Maria is fortunate to have you there with her as you go through this journey with your Dad. Just hold his hand, and let him know you both will be alright. Keep us posted Rosalie. Thanks for the update, it is always good to hear from you, our hearts are with ya!

  2. Rosalie, I'm praying for you all. As Kasey said in a previous post, talk to your dad, it's not too late for you to point him in the right direction. I pray that you and Maria will have the strength to get thru this and for your dad to be peaceful, from the sounds of it, he's had some very tough times. Are your brothers able to come back? Your dad might be waiting for them. Blessings, don't worry about the BFC plan, do the best you can, and be in the moment! Love Sue Moschino

Some tips if you are having trouble

  • First make sure that you are staying under the 15/6. 15 sugars and 6 servings of carbs for the whole day. Thats no more than 5 sugars and 2 servings of carbs per meal.
  • Track all of your sugar/carbs. Add everything from your meal together and count them that way.
  • Try to stop eating whole grain carbs after 3pm.
  • Make sure you drink lots of water.
  • Count everything that you put into your mouth. Even sauces - everything , check labels.
  • Make sure that you don't eat any artificial sugars. Check labels, if it says sugar free - look in the ingredients, look for....sucralose, aspartame, saccharine in the ingredients. Those are BAD!
  • Going #2 is a big problem when a lot of people start the BFC. I have solved that problem with Clear Benefiber in my morning coffee and a scoop of Super Seed w/water in the afternoon. (you can buy the super seed on Amazon.com it is the cheapest).
  • Choose your carbs wisely. Try to pick the carbs that will give you the lowest count of carbs, sugar and calories and the most fiber.

I hope this helps.
